Best known for HGTV shows “Buying & Selling,” “Property Brothers” and “Brother vs Brother,” Drew and his brother Jonathan began their career in home real estate while in college, where they flipped their first home, resulting in a $50,000 profit. While both brothers are well known as real estate gurus, they also both possess a strong business sense and share a mutual passion for the arts and performing. At age seven, Drew and Jonathan started a business venture with their mother, appropriately called JAM Enterprises (for Jon, Andrew, Mom). Together, the family made hangers with weaved nylon and put a little rose on top. The company sold thousands of hangers and ended up distributing their crafts to a woman who owned a bunch of American paraphernalia stores in Japan. From there, Drew continued to pursue creative outlets, including acting. At 19, Drew starred on the Canadian series “Breaker High,” which led to additional acting roles, including an appearance on CW’s cult-hit “Smallville.” In 2002, Drew, along with brothers Jonathan and JD, founded Scott Brothers Entertainment. Showcasing their many talents, the company has produced a number of short films and an array of digital content, with several new projects currently in development. In addition to Drew’s ongoing interest in all things film, television and production, he pursues a variety of other interests. Drew is more than a buying and selling genius. After completing college with a major in kinesiology, Drew continued on to receive a second-degree black belt in karate and was a Canadian National Karate champion for several years and continues to practice karate today. In 2011, Drew and brother Jonathan founded The Producers Ball, an annual gala that blends the brothers’ two passions: the arts and philanthropic work. Each year, The Producers Ball celebrates the North American and international filmmaking industry, and shines a light on producers for being an essential role in these successes. Held during the Toronto International Film Festival, the Ball pays tribute to producers, directors and Canadian celebrities and supports a non-profit organization. This year, they will once again donate 100% of the silent auction proceeds to another important cause. As the new Global Ambassadors for World Vision, both Scott brothers will be raising funds and awareness for youth educational initiatives around the world and for efforts surrounding anti-child labor. As passionate about performing as Drew is about properties, he continues to expand his brand with a third HGTV show, “Brother vs. Brother.” A home renovation competition series, “Brother vs. Brother” pits Drew and Jonathan against one other as they each mentor a team of six talented home improvement experts. The new series premiered in July 2013 to critical acclaim. --HALLMARK CHANNEL-- .

When the Board of Education and the Teahcer’s Association reached a stalemate, the Washington Township Education Association (WTEA) decided that the members would not volunteer for school events. Their attempt was to draw attention to the negotiation problem, but in doing so, many students were affected. Many activities were cancelled, and many students were disappointed.
