Lakshadweep, formerly known as the Laccadive, Minicoy and Aminidivi Islands is a group of islands in the Laccadive Sea, 200 to 440 km (120 to 270 mi) off the southwestern coast of India. The Lakshadweep football team is an Indian football team which represents the union territory of Lakshadweep, India. Football is very common in Lakshadweep, the key restriction for promoting local talented football players is the lack of adequate international standard sports infrastructure facilities such as land, stadium, and coach availability. Besides that all the outdoor sports activities especially football will be stopped during the monsoon season. The Lakshadweep Administration, in partnership with the Lakshadweep Football Association (LFA) and the State Sports Council, is developing steps to resolve the huddles to promote football by setting up a SAI Center in Lakshadweep with recruitment of Coaches to promote football exclusively and bring it to the national and international level.     The Game called - FOOTBALL Football, also called association football or soccer, game in which two teams of 11 players, using any part of their bodies except their hands and arms, try to maneuver the ball into the opposing team’s goal. Football is the world’s most popular ball game in numbers of participants and spectators. Simple in its principal rules and essential equipment, the sport can be played almost anywhere, from official football playing fields (pitches) to gymnasiums, streets, school playgrounds, parks, or beaches. Football’s governing body, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), estimated that at the turn of the 21st century there were approximately 250 million football players and over 1.3 billion people “interested” in football; in 2010 a combined television audience of more than 26 billion watched football’s premier tournament, the quadrennial month-long World Cup finals. The Origin The contemporary history of the world's favorite game spans more than 100 years. It all began in 1863 in England, when rugby football and association football branched off on their different courses and the Football Association in England was formed - becoming the sport's first governing body. Football in India Football is India's second most popular sport, next to the game of cricket. Kabaddi and field hockey are also popular. Traditionally it has enjoyed popularity in West Bengal, Goa, Kerala, Odisha, and north-eastern India, especially Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. India's current top domestic league, I-League, was formed in 2007 in an attempt to professionalize domestic football and in 2013 the Indian Super League was formed with 8 teams to promote Indian football to the country and world.

    AIFF REGULATIONS FOR THE STATUS AND TRANSFER OF PLAYERS These Regulations were adopted by AIFF Executive Committee in September 2001 and confirmed at the Special General Body Meeting on 30th December 2001 in compliance with Art. "31" of the AIFF Constitution and Article 5 of the FIFA Statutes. These regulations have been amended and adopted by the AIFF Executive Committee on 20 th July 2007, and have been further amended and adopted by the Executive Committee on 20 th May 2011. To simplify matters, the use of the male gender in these regulations applies to both males and females. DEFINITIONS For the purpose of these Regulations, the terms set out below are defined as follows: 1. Former Association: the Permanent Member Association to which the Former Club is affiliated. 2. Former Club: the club that the player is leaving. 3. New Association: the Permanent Member Association to which the New Club is affiliated. 4. New Club: the club that the player is joining. 5. Official Matches: matches played in the framework of Organized Football, such as I League and other Leagues organized by AIFF, State League, National Championships, all tournaments registered with the AIFF or any of its affiliated bodies and international championships for clubs and National Teams, but not including friendly and trial matches. 6. Organized Football: Association football organized under the auspices of FIFA, the confederations, the AIFF, Member Associations or authorized by them. 7. The study attempts to find the social, economic and health contribution of clubs towards its community.Methods: The study aims to establish a connection between a club and its local environment through primary research from community members of various clubs specifically Kerala Blasters FC and Bengaluru FC as well as through research papers pertaining to various football clubs.Conclusion:The research attempts to find the obscure challenges in defining the term ‘Community’ and investigating the contemporary resonance of a healthy community for a football club. March 2: Corporation Bank has bagged the awards for lending to MSE (micro and small enterprises) and to micro enterprises from the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) for 2012-13. March 2: Indian Bank has bagged national award for excellence in lending to micro enterprises for 2012-2013, for the consecutive second year. March 4: RBI has extended the date for exchanging pre-2005 banknotes to 1st January, 2015. Note: The Reserve Bank has further clarified that the public can continue to freely use these notes for any transaction. RBI has said that people can unhesitatingly receive these notes in payment, as all such notes continue to remain legal tender. March 7: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) expects to hand out new bank licences in a few weeks. March 9: State-run banks may set up only 14,855 ATMs by December, leaving an uphill task of installing close to 20,000 more cash dispensing machines by March-end to achieve the target of at least one onsite ATM in every branch. March 15: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) hiked the trade related remittance limit from 2 lakh rupees to 5 lakh rupees per transaction with immediate effect. It also increased the number of transaction handled by exchange houses.
