Please note that the capitalized terms used in this letter Public Disclosure Authorized ("Amendment Letter") and not defined herein have them~ ascribed to them in the Agreement. Pursuant to your letter dated July 16, 2018, requesting some specific modifications to the Agreement, we are pleased to inform you that the World Bank concurs with your request and proposes to amend the Agreement in respect of the provisions below: l . The first paragraph of the Agreement is amended to read as folJows: "In response to the request for financial assistance made on behalf of the Economic Community of West African States (.. Recipient''), l am plea ed to infonn you that the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development aod the International Development Association ('World Bank"), acting as administrator of grant funds provided by vanous donors ("Donors") under the Global Medicines Regulatory Harmonization Initiative Trust Fund. proposes to extend to the Recipient for the benefit of: Republic of Benin., Burkina Faso, Republic of Caho Verde, Public Disclosure Authorized Repubhc of Cote d'Ivoire, Republic of Ghana, Republic of The Gambia, Republic of Gmnea. • • Republic of Guinea Bissau, Republic of Liberia. Republic of iger, Federal Republtc of Nigeria, Republic of Senegal, Republic of Sierra Leone, Republic of Togo, and Republic of Mali ("Participating Countries"), a ~t in an amount not to exceed three million United States Dollars (USO 3,000,000) {"Grant") on the terms and conditions set forth or referred to in !hi letter agreement ("Agreement"), which includes the attached Annex, to a ist in the financing of the project descdbed in the Annex ("Projectj." Ail the terms and conditions of the Agreement that have not been amended hereby ball remain unchanged and in full force and effect. Please confirm your agreement with the foregoing amendment, on behalf of the Recipient, by signing, dating and returning to the Association the enclosed copy of tins Amendment Letter. 11us Amendment Letter shall become effective as of the date of it countersignature upon receipt by the World Bank of a countersigned copy.
