The support of Sunshine Coast Council in this process has been great, providing us with high quality services and beautiful parklands to work with. Their ongoing support is appreciated. Just like the last year’s event, our team has been working on a product that has experiences to find a point of difference. We can’t change our core product, which is why we have focused on a couple of key components The Ride, The Glory and The Banter. The Ride. We have taken the base core product of cycling and the basics that are done well across the world, regarding the Sprint and King of The Mountain sections and have tried to put our own spin on it with a Time Trial style cumulative points system. The courses we have put together are not for the faint hearted and are going to be a great challenge. The Glory. There is going to be a Great Finish in the Hinterland town of Montville on day 1 and an opportunity to Finish at the clubhouse on day 2 & 3. Giving you the chance to test you climbing and sprinting ability with your fellow Velo Riders. The Banter. There is nothing better than talking about the good, the bad and the ugly after a long grueling ride. Our Clubhouse will be in full swing each afternoon giving you the chance to bring your friends and family together to tell them how good you were today or to meet riders you have passed throughout the day. Then the opportunity to find out who has the Green, Red, Polka Dot, Blue, White or Yellow Jersey for the next day of riding. Importantly please take the time to attend the rider briefings before each stage to ensure you have all the information you need for the next day.
