Glossary 2 ORLD FRISBEE® The most active competitive year in Frisbee history came to a dramatic close under the glare of national publicity in the famed Rose Bowl of Pasadena, California. IFA World Championship titles went to the winners of eight individual events: MPIONSHIPS Men's Guts- Air Aces, Rochester, Michigan Accuracy- Dan "Stork" Roddick, New Brunswick, N.J. Men's World Champion- Bruce Koger, Chicago, Illinois The Aces took the powerful Library Bar team 11-7 and 11 -8 to Stork made his first major Accuracy win a big one as he beat two Bruce beat out fellow finalist Ken Westerfield and defending validate their 1FT World Championship. Unfortunately, Bill Hodges other Accuracy regulars, John Kirkland (1FT '75 Champ) and lrv champion Victor Malafronte by scoring an incredible single minus of the Library missed the finals after pinching a nerve. A factor which deserves attention in the evaluation of any event is the pure joy of getting together. The 1975 Frisbee Golf- Tom Kennedy, Santa Barbara, Ca. Rose Bowl has to be rated as one of the finest events Tom pulled the biggest upset of the weekend as he had never played Fri sbee Golf before. Tom learn ed the game quickly how ever on this dimension. The 1975 World Frisbee Championships was the most ambitious Frisbee event ever attempted. One hundred and twenty top competitors to transport, house, feed, and fit into an arduous five-day competitive format. The costs, both economically and in human effort, were very high. Any problems the meet had were caused by three major factors: 1. The event has grown dramatically in scope over the period of one year. New events included Golf, Individual and Pairs Freestyle, Indoor Distance, and Velocity Testing. Rule variations were also tested in Guts and Ultimate. 2.
