Our aim since 1908 continues to be to encourage young and young at heart amateur performing artists by providing them with stage space, to have their work tested and to receive written reports from highly qualified adjudicators. Our artists benefit via competition, not only are their artistic skills improved, but also their confidence, poise, commitment and self esteem, skills which they will later take into the community with them. This year we have added new sections of Musical Theatre to our solo dance program, High school bands and an opportunity for HSC students to perform their exam pieces and receive adjudicator reports on their work. Our sincere thanks to all our competitors, their teachers and parents, our sponsors and trophy donors, to Lismore City Council, Lismore Workers Club, NORPA, Nesbitt Estate, Lismore Trophies, CWA ladies, and our priceless volunteers. We trust that this year`s competitions will be conducted in the usual spirit of good fellowship and sportsmanship and that you will benefit from the experience. We wish you all a successful and rewarding 107th Lismore Festival/ Eisteddfod.
