EXECUTIVE SUMMERY PRE FEASIBILITY REPORT OF THALAMALAI BLACK GRANITE (DOLERITE) QUARRY K.V.SALEEM UNDER EIA NOTIFICATION 2006 This present Scheme of quarrying is prepared in respect of Black Granite (Dolerite) quarry belongs to Mr. K.V.Saleem. The lease was granted to vide G.O. (3D) No: 13, Industries (MME-II) Department Dated: 29.01.2007 for an over an Extent of 2.30.5Ha located in S.F.No. 324/1A, 324/1B and 325/1A of Thalamalai Village, Thalavadi Taluk (Formerly Sathyamangalam) and Erode District for during this Scheme period of five years subjected to submission of Environmental clearance from MoEF / SEIAA, consent for Establishment and Consent for operation from TNPCB. Mining plan approved by The Mining Plan was Approved by the the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Geology and Mining, Chennai vide Director of the District Letter No: 13766/MM5/2004 Dated: 29.12.2006 8. Life of period The Second Scheme of quarrying is prepared and submitted for the period of 2017 - 18 to 2021 – 22 (Five years). Production capacity: The proposed quantity of reserves (15%) is about 5790m3 (or) 1023 Lorry Loads of Black Granite for a during this scheme period of five years. The quarry operation is proposed up to depth for 38m (14m AGL + 24m BGL) at present scenario considering for the entire lease period The applicant proposed Black Granite up to a depth of 28m (14m AGL + 14m BGL) during this scheme period of five years. Method of Mining Open cast semi mechanized mining method with 5.0m vertical bench with a bench width of 5.0m is being proposed. 12. Operational cost = Rs. 53, 50,000/- C. EMP cost = Rs. 2,55,000/- Total cost = Rs. 64, 71,500/- The Prefeasibility report preparing for following condition of Government of India Ministry of Environment and Forests (No.L-11011/47/2011 (IA-II (M) Dated, 24th -.ne, 2013) Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserved forest is situated 3km away from the Southeastern side. Thalamalai Reserved forest is situated 150m away from the Southern side of lease area. Tank is situated within 1km radius of Eastern side. Thalamalai Lake is situated 2km away from the Northwestern side of the area. Mudiyanur Tank is situated 5km away from the Northwestern side. Moyyar River is flow about 7km away from the Southwestern side of the area. The Western Ghats region is situated 10km away from the Northwestern side. There is no Interstate boundary within the radius of 15km. There is no HACA region within the radius of 15km. There is no CRZ within the radius of 15km. There are no Bird sanctuaries, wild life sanctuaries and National park as Act 1972, within the radius of 15kms. PRE FEASIBILITY REPORT OF THALAMALAI BLACK GRANITE (DOLERITE) QUARRY K.V.SALEEM UNDER EIA NOTIFICATION 2006 The following information provided by the applicant I have applied for Environmental Clearance to SEIAA, Tamilnadu for quarry lease for quarrying of Black Granite in S.F.No: 324/1A, 324/1B and 325/1A for over an extent of 2.30.5Ha in Thalamalai Village, Thalavadi Taluk (Formerly Sathyamangalam) and Erode District. I swear to state and confirm that within 10km area of the quarry site, I have applied for environmental clearance; none of the following is situated. Protected areas notified under the wild life (Protection) Act, 1972 Critically polluted areas as notified by the central pollution control board constituted Under water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974. There is no quarry within the radius of 500m from the periphery of my quarry site. There will not be any hindrance or disturbance to the people living on en route /nearby/ my quarry site while transporting the mined out material and due mining /quarrying activities. There is no habitation within the radius of 500m from the periphery of my quarry. I swear that Afforestation will be carried out during the course of quarrying operation and maintained. The required insurance will be taken in the name of the labourers working in my quarry site. Approach road belongs to local Panchayat only and no other private patta roads encountered. I will not engage any child labour in our quarry site and I aware that engaging child labour is punishable under the law. All types of safety / protective equipment will be provided to all the labourers working in my quarry. No permanent structures, temples etc., are located within 500m radius from the periphery of my quarry.
