In 1996, Brandon Festival of the Arts received a bequest from the late Kaye Rowe, which enabled the Festival to provide annually two $600 scholarships, one for the outstanding performance in Speech Arts and the other for the most promising performance in any other discipline in the Festival. In 2008, a $300 scholarship was added for the second-place performer in any area of the Festival.
