On 16.11.2016 based on a secret source information a team of POWC cell and SOG cell, CID, WB held raid at Frezarganj Coastal PS area and rescued five (5) victim girls including one (1) minor girl and also arrested five (5) accused persons in cw the above noted case. c) Ref:- Uttarpara PS Case No. 382/16 dated 2.7.2016 u/s 294/354/506/509 IPC

Officers and force of cyber crime cell, CID, WB arrested one (1) accused person namely Anupam Mohanta s/o Lt. Kanai Mohanta of Natra, P.O Akui, PS Indas, District Bankura in c/w the above noted case. d) Ref:- Naihati PS Case No. 24/16 dated 7.11.2016 u/s 448/376/511/302/506/34 IPC. One minor daughter of the complainant was raped and murdered. Accused person namely Sanjib Bose s/o Haripada Bose of Nabapally, Palta, PS Noapara, North 24 parganas was arrested in c/w the above noted case.

e) Ref:- Andal PS Case No. 265/16 dated 16.09.2016 u/s 395/397 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act (Bank Dacoity at SBI) Officer and force of DRBT cell, CID, WB along with ADPC aided in arrest of criminal namely Rahul Prasad from Chittaranjan and Rupesh Kumar @ Chota Don of Lakhisarai from Munger in c/w the above noted case. f) Ref:- Baduria PS Case No. 815/16 dated 22.11.2016 u/s 369/370/315/120B IPC On the basis of secret source information, a raid was conducted by a team of CID, WB at Sohan Nursing Home under PS Baduria where the new born babies were sold by the authority and other persons of the said Nursing Home in lieu of money. Acting on a secret source information, a raid was held infront of Kalyani Sub. Officer and force of CID, WB rescued a victim girl under PS Basanti area, District South 24 parganas and also arrested the accused person namely Mustak Hossain @ Pintu (25) s/o SK. Abbash @ Gandu of Dannyapara, PO. Basupara, PS Nanoor, Birbhum in c/w the above noted case. i) Bhaktinagar PS Case No. 1574/16 dated 3.11.2016 u/s 8 (c) read with 21/29 NDPS Act. In this case three (3) accused persons namely (1) Md. Murad (29) s/o Abdul of Nataji Nagar naya basti, PS Bhaktinagar, district Jalpaiguri another address Mujafarnagar, Vill. Pupri, PS Nanpur, district Sitamari, Bihar (2) Salman SK. (27) s/o Md. Ali Hussain of Netaji Nagar Naya basti, PS Bhaktinagar, district Jalpaiguri and (3) Md. Samse (26) s/o Moti Rahaman of Netaji Nagar Naya basti, PS Bhaktinagar, district Jalpaiguri another address Mujaffarnagar, Village Pupri, PS Nanpur, district Sitamari, Bihar were arrested and 550 gms Brown sugar, two (2) Motor Cycles (Pulser and Suzuki), one Hyundai 110 car, one heat sealing machine, one small weighing machine, four (4) mobile phones and cash Rs. 3,10,000/- were also seized from their possession. j) Ref:- Rangli Rangliot PS (Darjeeling) Case No. 57/14 dated 6.2.2014 u/s 120B/121A/122/124A read with 25/27 Arms Act. Vijay Rai @ Thulung (36) was arrested from Darjeeling Jorbanglow area on 1.11.2016 by SOG, North Bengal being associated with Darjeeling Police. He is the brother of Sanjay Rai @ Thulung, an office bearer of GTA at Tagda under Rangli Rangliot PS Darjeeling. Sanjay Rai is the person who brought some arms and ammunition in 2014 by engaging GTA members along with his brother. On 8.11.2014 while Ganesh Chetri and Umesh Kami were returning from Nagaland via Assam with sophisticated weapons and ammunitions of AK 47, were arrested by Assam Police. This refers to Chirang PS case No. 198/14 dated 8.11.2014 u/s 120B/121/121A/122/124A r/w 25/27 Arms Act. This were being brought in a vehicle specially earmarked for keeping those ammunitions in order to escape notice based on this information, a case was registered under Rangli Rangliot PS vide case no. 57/14 dated 6.2.2014 u/s 120B/121/121A/122/124A r/w 25/27

Arms Act. During interrogation of above two accused persons that Vijay Rai @ Thulung had sent 15 GLP members to Nagaland for Arms training. k) Ref:- Sonarpur PS Case No. 758/14 dated 22.5.2014 u/s 419/ 420/ 468/ 471/ 447/34 IPC and adding section 467/120B IPC. It is a case of purchase of 24 decimal land under Sonarpur PS by few persons by preparing forged documents. Accused Goutam Das (63) s/o Lt. Sukhoranjan Das of A/5/1 Baghajotin colony, PS Jadavpur, Kolkata-92 owner of part portion of disputed land, was arrested on the ground of expert report (QDEB, CID, WB). l) Bidhannagar (North) PS Case No. 161/16 dated 26.7.2016 u/s 420/406/408/409/468/467/120B IPC. The case was started on the basis of the complaint of one Rajan Trehan, chief vigilance officer, NSIC (National small industries corporation) Ltd. (Govt. Of India enterprise) regarding a fraud incident that the Ltd. suffered to the tune of Rs. 173.5 crore. The FIR named accused Sudhangshu Kumar Halder @ Badal s/o Lt. Satish Chandra Halder of 19 Rabindra Nagar east road, PS Nimta was arrested in c/w the above noted case. m) Ref:- Kaliganj PS Case No. 604/16 dated 5.11.2016 u/s 379/411/407/414 IPC and 7(i) E.C.Act. A raid was conducted by the officer of CID, WB and they arrested the accused persons namely Pradip Agarwal and Dilip Agarwal all of Kadamtala Marowari patty, PS Kaliganj, Nadia in c/w the above noted case and they also seized total wheat of 3300 gunny bags rice of 600 gunny bags and 12 no. of Trucks having No. WB-19/1926, WB-51/1466, WB-51/2933, WGE-2450,AP-07TG2269,WB- 51/2025,WML-0160,WB-51/2525,WB-23/6838,WB-25/3323,WB-65A / 8386, WB-25F/4397. n) Ref:- Pradhannagar PS Case No. 438/16 dated 6.11.2016 u/s 285/286/120B IPC r/w section 4/5 E.S Act. On 6.11.16 early morning acting on a source information a raid was conducted and three (3) accused persons were arrested namely (1) Dawa Tshering Bhote @ Dawa Lama @ Dawa Gurung (50) s/o Aktuppa Bhote of Hong- Gom, Phangthang, PS Hatia Gabisha, district Khadbari, Nepal A/P C/O Bijoy Subba of Tea auction Road, Assam Rail gate, PS Pradhannagar, district Darjeeling (2) Puja Limbu @ Gurung (40) w/o Dawa Tshering Bhote of Hon –Gom, Phangthang, PS Hatia Gabisha, district Khadbari, Nepal A/P C/O Bijoy Subba of Tea auction Road, Assam Rail gate, PS Pradhannagar, district Darjeeling (3) Krishnaprasad Adhikari (34) s/o Dilliram Adhikari of Nanging 4, PS Nanging, PO Harichuki, district Pantachar, Mechi, Nepal A/P C/O Bijoy Subba of Tea auction Road, Assam Rail gate, PS Pradhannagar, district Darjeeling were arrested and two (2) boxes of SOD (special ordinary detonators), No. eight (8)

strength styled as danger explosives containing 100 pieces each in a box, 609 pieces of sticks explosive (class -2) wrapped in a packet measuring about 9” styled as NEOGEN 90, 63 bundles of blue safety fuse wire of 10 meters each (total 630 meters approx 0 styled for blasting, one big carton where the above materials were kept from their possession. They confessed that they procured these explosives from Meghalaya and came to asiliguri for disposal.A team of BDDS CID WB attended to dispose of the explosives. o) Ref:- Coke oven PS Case No. 6/15 dated 14.1.2015 u/s 379/413/414/120B IPC On 23.11.2016 in between 16.55 hrs to 17.35 hrs one six wheeler Truck having reg No. WB- 65B/ 4339 was recovered from the possession of driver Jaidul Islam at Fultala more under Jiagang PS, Murshidabad by the officer of MTS cell CID, WB. p) Ref:- Nakashipara PS Case No. 840/16 dated 19.11.2016 u/s 379/411/413/414/467/468/471 IPC. On 23.11.2016 officer and forece of MTS cell and Nadia DD, CID, WB held raid at Nakashipara PS area, Nadia. Omjed Ali SK. (40) s/o Lt. Nehar Ali SK. of vill+PO Arbatai, PS Nakashipara, Nadia was arrested and a ten wheeler stolen truck having reg. No. WB- 20 AG/ 8038 was seized from the possession. Tha case was started on the complaint of the officer of Nadia DD, CID, WB and is being investigated by the officer of Nakashipara PS. q) Ref:- Suri PS Case No. 420/2016 dated 28/11/2016 u/s 8C r/w 15(c) NDPS Act. On 28/11/2016 officer and force of Narcotic Cell CID WB held raid at Abdarpur Railway Level Crossing Gate, Suri, Birbhum and arrested two persons namely (i) Motiur Sk.(24) s/o Lt. Ketabuddin of Kaliachak Thanarpara, PS Kaliachak, Malda, (ii) Biswajit Das @ Bisu s/o Pratap Chandra Das of 20/2 Narayan Stand road, 11 No. ward, PO +PS Nabadwip, Nadia from Suri and one 10 wheeler vehicle said to be container, bearing Reg. No.HR-55X-8373 was intercepted and 42 Nilon sacks containing with 1680 kgs of poppy straw along with 340 bags of Tea bags of different company having different quantity along with other articles were recovered and seized.
