The ARMENIAN LEGISLATIVE CAUCUS is holding two scholarship contests for the 2021 commemoration of the Armenian Genocide. California high school students in grades 9th through 12th grade are invited to participate in an essay contest and/or a visual arts contest to increase greater awareness of the Armenian Genocide. Students may enter both contests, but submissions must be entered separately. All winners will be awarded scholarships and a trip to the State Capital in Sacramento. SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION: General Summer School information is available on the CVHS website https://www.gusd.net/Page/14621. Students who need remedial or ELD support courses should sign up directly with CV counselors during 1-1 meetings. Meetings will be scheduled via 8th grade history classes between March 29 and April 9, 2021.

Students who want to take Health, Living Earth, or elective classes in summer should complete the appropriate grade level and alpha counselor Google Form AND follow the directions to enroll with the desired program. During these hard times, many families nd it dicult to be able to cook, eat, and buy fresh produce. An integral part of staying t and healthy, the American Heart Association has teamed up with Adventist Health Glendale to promote heart health through fresh produce distribution. BMW Engineering Scholarship – is offering a $6000 award to high-achieving graduating seniors attending college in the fall and pursuing an engineering or related science degree. FEEA (Federal Employee Education & Assistance Fund) – champions the pursuit of higher education and each year supports hundreds of students with merit-based scholarships ranging between $1000-$7000 for one year of academic study. American Indian Science & Engineering Society (AISES) – is a national, nonprot organization focuses on increasing opportunities for American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacic Islanders, First Nations, and other Indigenous peoples of North American in STEM studies and careers. Cobell Scholarship (Administered by Indigenous Education, Inc.) provides elevated opportunities for American Indian and Alaska Native college students to support their success in higher education. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a U.S. federally recognized tribe and be attending a nonprot institution. Becca’s Closet scholarships – the purpose of these scholarships is to encourage students who have demonstrated outstanding community service in high school to continue their efforts throughout their lives and to inspire others to do the same. Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Program – is awarding $10,000 scholarships to 200 recipients studying engineering or computer science at a 4-year college/university. Recipients may renew the scholarship up to three times for a total potential value of $40,000. Eligibility requirements – U.S. citizen, nancial need, minimum 2.5 GPA and plans to enroll in any of the following majors: Aerospace/Computer/Electrical/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or Physics. Community Scholarship Foundation of La Canada Flintridge (CSF) – is offering scholarships ranging from $1000-$3000 to assist students who reside in La Canada Flintridge as well as seniors graduating from CVHS. Award is for students attending a 2-yr/4-yr college or university or a trade/technical school and who also have a min. 3.0 GPA. Kiwanis Club of La Canada La Crescenta-AM - is generously awarding scholarships again this year to CV graduating seniors. This organization has been one of the most philanthropic community groups who continue to support our students with funds to further their educational endeavors. The Kiwanis Club is looking for graduating seniors who are planning to attend college in the fall and have a strong record of community service at a high school with an active Key Club.
