The CALIFORNIA ARMENIAN LEGISLATIVE CAUCUS is holding two scholarship contests for the 2021 commemoration of the Armenian Genocide. California high school students in grades 9th through 12th grade are invited to participate in an essay contest and/or a visual arts contest to increase greater awareness of the Armenian Genocide. Students may enter both contests, but submissions must be entered separately. All winners will be awarded scholarships and a trip to the State Capital in Sacramento. SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION: General Summer School information is available on the CVHS website https://www.gusd.net/Page/14621. Students who need remedial or ELD support courses should sign up directly with CV counselors during 1-1 meetings. Meetings will be scheduled via 8th grade history classes between March 29 and April 9, 2021.
Students who want to take Health, Living Earth, or elective classes in summer should complete the appropriate grade level and alpha counselor Google Form AND follow the directions to enroll with the desired program. An integral part of staying t and healthy, the American Heart Association has teamed up with Adventist Health Glendale to promote heart health through fresh produce distribution.
