The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) rail system provides direct service from the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to downtown San Francisco, the East Bay and Peninsula cities.

Avoid traffic, parking hassles and the high cost of taxis, rental cars and shuttles by taking BART from the airport to your destination.

BART Service Overview BART operates routes to 46 conveniently located stations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Locating the SFO BART Station BART System Map Pittsburg/Bay Point The San Francisco International Airport BART Station Richmond is on Level 3 of the International Terminal. The free North Concord/ El Cerrito del Norte Martinez AirTrain shuttle takes you from the Domestic and El Cerrito Plaza Concord International Terminals to “Garage G – BART Station.” North Berkeley Pleasant Hill/ Travelers arriving at the International Terminal may Contra Costa Centre Downtown Berkeley Walnut Creek also walk to BART by following directional signs to Ashby the BART station. Sample One-Way Fares Riding BART in Five Easy Steps Fares and Tickets Buy your train ticket at the BART station. Fares are based Millbrae Station (to Caltrain) $5.05 1 Locate your destination on the BART System Map on where you are going. BART ticket machines at the Downtown San Francisco stations $9.65 2 Determine the fare to your destination station accept debit/credit cards and U.S. currency only. Downtown Oakland stations $10.00 3 Buy your ticket Currency exchange and ATMs are not available at the BART station, so be sure to use these services at the Downtown Berkeley Station (UC Berkeley) $10.30 4 Enter through the fare gates and board your train airport before you get there. Walnut Creek Station $11.55 5 Use your ticket to exit at your destination Create your own custom BART schedule at www.bart.gov.
