Spotted in the Palisadian-Post: January 29, 1981 Comedy writing is serious work It’s Tuesday night. The street is rather dark, as cars keep pulling up and parking. A steady stream of men and women march up to the small, modernesque house situated comfort- ably behind a well-groomed lawn. This is not an unusual sight in Pacific Palisades, with its abundance of church, charity and community committees. But this turns out to be an unusual meeting. The people are gathering, not to raise funds for a worthy cause, but to exchange yaks. It’s a comedy writing workshop and deadly serious.
