Dalian Minzu University About the Incoming Exchange Students' Arrangement for Fall Semester, 2021 Dalian Minzu University about the Incoming Exchange Students’ Arrangement for Fall Semester, 2021 Dear partner, We are writing to inform you on how Dalian Minzu University (DLMU) is responding to the uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and how we are preparing to welcome your students for the fall semester, 2021. I. Teaching arrangement for the fall semester, 2021 1. Schedule: (1) One semester: 2021.9~2022.1 (2) One year: 2021.9~2022.7 2. Teaching Method: A combination of online and onsite teaching (1) DLMU offers onsite activities for students that are able and wish to travel to China. (2) If your students can not make it to DLMU in September or wish to learn online, DLMU offers the online program. Your students could choose one of the following two types of online program: Type One: Live, interactive online classes, teachers will provide the online and onsite students with practice and explanation, answer questions and give feedback to students’ ideas. Type Two: Watching video classes if your students may not be able to attend the online live class because of time difference, scheduling conflict and etc. Our teacher could If your students need the teacher’s help after the class, they could contact the teacher through the internet. 3. Curriculum Setting: Chinese Comprehensive, Chinese Listening, Oral Chinese, Chinese Reading, etc. 4. Assessment and Credit:The students taking onside program will take part in final exams at school at the end of the semester; those taking online program will take part in the online final exams. Students who successfully complete the course will receive an official transcript and a completion certificate with credits. II. Enrollment arrangement for the fall semester, 2021 1. Number of Candidates Selected (1) Number of incoming exchange students: Confirm the number of exchange students according to the bilateral agreement. b) Number of self-supporting students: There is no limit on the number of self-supporting students. 2. Registration Time:Submit the results and documents before July 15, 2021. 3. Admission Documents: The following documents should be scanned and sent to us through the email first. After being checked and approved, all the original documents need to be mailed to us. (1) The following documents needed for your students who apply for onsite program: (a) The photocopy of the front page and one blank page of the passport. The photocopy of the page with entry and exit records of China is also needed if the students have been to China before. (b) Transcript with the official seal of the academic department. (c) Transcript in Chinese version. (d) The certificate of enrollment with the official seal of the academic department. (e) The certificate of enrollment in Chinese version (f) 5 copies of photo without hats of the applied students and the electronic version should be sent by e-mail. The size and format requirements for electronic photo should be: a) resolution no less than 320*240 pixels, b) the ratio of height to width is 4:3, c) the file size is from 100 to 500 KB, d) the file format is JPG. (g) “APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION” form filled by the students themselves with handwritten signature. (h) Notarial certificate of the guardians should be provided if the applied students are under 18. (i) “The Student Information Table for Overseas Friendly Universities of Dalian Minzu University” (with the international office official seal). (2) The following documents needed for your students who apply for online program: a) The photocopy of the front page. b) “APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION” form filled by the students themselves with handwriting signature. c) “The Student Information Table for Overseas Friendly Universities of Dalian Minzu University” (with the international office official seal). 4. Expenses: (1) Tuition fee: a) Exchange students are tuition-free. b) Self-supporting students can get tuition discount. (2) Accommodation fee: Exchange students and self-supporting students are all required to pay the accommodation fee and deposit. The International students’ apartments are equipped with double rooms, including air conditioner, refrigerator, color TV and etc, costing 32RMB per day per person. The deposit is 200 RMB. The accommodation fee should be settled directly by the students with the management center of the apartments. If there is no damage to the articles, the deposit will be fully returned to the students. (3)Insurance: According to Chinese regulations for studying in China, the international students who study at China should buy Personal Accident Insurance when registering for study. The insurance fee is: 400 yuan / half a year, 800 yuan / year. Your students who take the online program do not need to buy the insurance. III. Other information 1. DLMU will decide whether to accept the oversea students to study in our campus in accordance with the epidemic situation, we will keep you updated on our decisions. If we decide to accept exchange students to study in China, they can choose whether to continue the online class or the onsite class then. 2. DLMU will mail the admission notice and JW202 form for students who want to take the onsite program to apply for study visa, with the expenses born by themselves. 3. DLMU will provide the free service of shuttle bus for the exchange students and self-supporting students taking the physical examination in China, in order to facilitate students to apply for residence permits. 4. DLMU will arrange one day at the beginning of the new semester (10:00-11:00 am., 14:00-15:00 pm.) to pick up the students who take the onsite program at Dalian Zhoushuizi international airport for free. The exact dates of airport pickup will be notified to the cooperative universities in advance. 5. According to the relevant policies and regulations of epidemic prevention and control, DLMU will require the incoming exchange students to provide the documents relevant to the epidemic prevention and control at that time. Read Full License Page 2/22 Abstract Manganese doped aluminum nitride (AlN:Mn) nanowires were fabricated by direct nitridation of Al and Mn mixed powders. The as-synthesized AlN:Mn nanowires were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Raman, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The measurements reveal the successful incorporation of Mn2+ ions into AlN nanowires. The magnetic and optical properties of the AlN:Mn nanowires were studied using vibrating sample magnetometer and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The AlN:Mn nanowires exhibit room temperature ferromagnetic behavior and a red emission band centered at 597 nm corresponding to 4 4 6 6 2+ the T1( G)- A1( S) transition of Mn . The abnormal thermal quenching behavior and long afterglow feature are investigated through the temperature dependent emission and the afterglow spectrum. The thermoluminescence curve shows that AlN: Mn nanowires have a wide trap distribution, which leads to the abnormal thermal quenching behavior and persistent luminescence.

Language is one of the essential means of communication that makes multilingualism has been closely related with sociolinguistics. The research of language use can provide information to teachers about learners’ needs and behaviors to the learning and teaching process and to give some support for the use of different languages. From the perspective of language life, this study investigates the multilingual use of 645 college students of foreign language college in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture through the method of literature review, questionnaire and statistical analysis to understand the linguistic situation and find out the reasons behind this situation. The study shows that students have the highest score on language use of Chinese language and language usage is affected by grade, major, ethnicity and educational background of parents. This study may contribute to enriching the relevant theories about multilingual use in minority areas abroad, providing practical experience for multilingual use in minority areas and the construction of multilingual, multicultural and harmonious language living environment. A Case Study on the Connection Between ‘Secularization’ and ‘Heritagization’ Among the Chinese Sibe The Sibe living within the borders of the People’s Republic of China originally lived in Manchuria in north- eastern China. Some of the Sibe were relocated to north-western China in the mid-eighteenth century, and the two separated groups were only able to re- establish contacts two centuries later in the 1950s. After contacts had been re-established, the reformulation of Sibe identity and the (re)construction of Sibe history began parallel with the attainment of the ultimate goal of creating the Chinese national identity set by the communist regime, which ascended to power in 1949. The culture of ethnic groups as part of the cultural heritage gradually became the key to nation-building aspirations in this latter process. But how and why did Sibe religious traditions become part of Chinese national culture—religious traditions that were initially classified as superstitions and the judgement of which changed depending on the existing political situation? And what is the connection between ‘secularization’ and ‘heritagization’ in this process?
