Last week you read on the front page of both local papers reports of the suddenly called December 21st RATES! Forest County Executive Committee Meeting. As those Call Call Dave at front page reports stated, the meeting had been called, on 715-649-3414 STERN ELECTRONICS short notice, to address two issues. The first issue addressed at the meeting was the intended give away of 715-623-2441 the Forest County fairgrounds. I intentionally have not Betc10 become involved in that issue as I think others have stepped up to defend our county fairgrounds. The other issue on the agenda, was to address "false accusations in the local papers." Now I'm going to stop, and make a couple of points. I've always felt, and stated, that "If you don't stand up for yourself, no one, is going to stand up for you." As such, when I found out about the very suddenly posted (very short notice) Forest County Executive Committee meeting, I made sure I was present to stand up for myself. Both the Pioneer Express and the Forest Republican had representatives at the meeting. They both also "stood up" for themselves, and then gave a fair report of this meeting on the front pages of their respective papers. I won't rehash the details, but you can watch the whole meeting, which was recorded by "Citizens for Clean Government Forest County Wisconsin," a group having a page on Facebook. The video of the meeting can be viewed there. I'd also like to give a salute to Cheri Collins and Thank Yous Bill Chaney of the Executive Committee for taking something positive away from the meeting, and reaching out to you with their own letters to the editor in last week's and Personals paper. I will also admit to my mistake in thinking that the members of the Executive Committee were appointed. It used to be that way "back in my day," but now I was informed the members of the Executive Committee are elected by their peers on the County Board. I find it Thank You interesting that this one mistake of mine took on such Thanks to everyone who helped to make significance at the meeting.
