The Slovensky Family 11:00 AM Saturday, August 8, 2020 Saint Patrick Catholic Church Adamsville, Alabama Very Reverend Vernon F. Huguley Pastor Phil Slovensky In Memory of Our Brother Phillip So much sorrow, with infinite pain, I little knew that morning God was to call my name. The emotions inside, we could never explain. In life I loved you dearly, in death I do the same. Our brother has left, as we stand here and cry. It broke my heart to leave you, I did not go alone. Our burning tears, are asking us why. For part of you went with me. The day God called me home. We'll cherish those memories, we all have shared. He was a person, that genuinely cared. I left you beautiful memories, My love is still your guide, We miss him so much, just can't say goodbye, And though I cannot see you, I am always at your side. We know he'd want us, to keep our heads up real high. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, We loved him so much, our brother and dear friend, But as God calls us one by one, Our family chain will link again. We wish we could wake, and this nightmare would end. But now we must let him, just rest in peace His memory and image, we shall never release. Infinite thy vast domain; everlasting is thy reign. Hark the glad celestial hymn angel choirs above are raising; cherubim and seraphim, in Now I Can Remember unceasing chorus praising, fill the heavens with sweet accord: Holy, holy, holy Lord. I’ve shed this body, its pain and hurt Holy Father, Holy Son, Holy Spirit: three we name thee, while in essence only one; And returned it to the crushed earth. undivided God we claim thee, and adoring bend the knee while we own the mystery. In God’s embrace I’m not alone. I have new peace I’ve never known. I remember all that I once knew; All the love I have for all of you,. With all the sharing and all the giving, That made this life so worth living. And now I know I’ll miss you much. I could never have given enough. But I gave to you the best I knew, And for all the things I never could say, I love you so deeply, In my own special way! .
