Doctors abused these drugs on him first, and it's not right to blame the patient for the doctor's mistakes. He also died because of a doctors incompetence and unethical professional choices of AEG, not because of any fault of his. He was briefly dependent on Demerol (it was given for legitimate medical reasons) in the 90s and overcame it. That's it. He was clean at the time of his death. One thing you could say is that his voice wasn't always perfect especially at the end, but his songs are just amazing. It seems these days booty shaking and performing half naked is giving a performance. Michael knew how to move an audience by his music, his dance and his take no prisoner showmanship. He always left you with shaking your head in amazement and your jaw on the floor by the gift he just gave not by what a ass you just made of yourself. This is the bottom line why there will never be anyone to replace Michael Jackson and his legacy will live for generations to come. He remains at the top of the music chart from to singing dancing out of all these other new age artist. They are nothing compared to him. And for those who have blackened his name for whatever reason will also reap what they have sown. I love this man's music, talent, shyness and his courageous attitude. He has inspired many. I personal know how it is to live a sheltered life and feel that you don't fit in with the crowd. It feels as if you are ten or more years younger than everyone else around you. Girls and guys are kissing and spooning near you at a party you don't even know how you got invited and several people are trying to get with you because they find something about you appealing and all you want to do is escape.
