It is a beautiful ride – a long, gradual climb up the Cache la Poudre River TO STOVE PRAIRIE canyon and over Cameron Pass (10,276 ft.) into LANDING Colorado’s North Park valley. However, traffic can be heavy on weekends in the Summer and Fall. Snow keeps this 9,200' campground closed until late June, and it is open only through late September. It is one of the most popular and top rated high-country camping experiences in Colorado, and thus reservations should be made well in advance.
