Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements for Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE SPECIAL TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS FOR MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL 2018 Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in connection with the Mid-Autumn Festival 2018: I. Special Traffic Arrangements A. Hong Kong Island (1) Traffic Arrangements for the Fire Dragon Dance in Tai Hang (a) Road Closure and Traffic Diversion The following road closures and traffic diversions will be implemented from 6.00 pm to 11.59 pm daily on 23 to 25 September 2018: Road Closure (Figure 1) Traffic Diversion (i) Lin Fa Kung Street West; (i) All vehicles on Tung Lo Wan Road (ii) Lily Street; (westbound) will be prohibited (iii) Wun Sha Street; from turning left onto Wun Sha (iv) Ormsby Street; Street, Brown Street or Jones (v) Brown Street; Street; and (vi) Warren Street; (ii) All vehicles on Tung Lo Wan Road (vii) Jones Street; (eastbound) will be prohibited from (viii) Lai Yin Street; turning right onto Wun Sha Street, (ix) School Street; and required to make an U-turn at (x) King Street; Lin Fa Kung Street West. (xi) Shepherd Street; (xii) Sun Chun Street; and (xiii) Second Lane. (b) Suspension of Parking Spaces All on-street parking spaces, metered parking spaces and motorcycle parking spaces (including disabled parking spaces) at the above closed road sections and Tung Lo Wan Road will be suspended from 4.00 pm to 11.59 pm daily on 23 to 25 September 2018: TDN Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 (21/09) (c) Suspension of Taxi Stand The taxi stand outside No. 90-96 Tung Lo Wan Road will be suspended from 5.00 pm to 11.59 pm daily on 23 to 25 September 2018. (2) Traffic Arrangements in Causeway Bay (Figure 2) (a) Pedestrian Scheme The following road sections will be closed to all vehicular traffic for implementation of a part-time pedestrian scheme from 12.00 noon to 11.59 pm daily on 22, 23 and 25 September 2018; from 4.00 pm on 24 September 2018 to 3.00 am of the following day: (i) Lockhart Road east of Cannon Street; (ii) East Point Road; and (iii) Great George Street west of Paterson Street. (b) Road Closure and Traffic Diversions Depending on the crowd and traffic condition, the following road closures and traffic diversions may be implemented from 7.00 pm to 11.59 pm daily on 22, 23 and 25 September 2018; from 7.00 pm on 24 September 2018 to 3.00 am of the following day: TDN Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 (21/09) Road Closure Traffic Diversion (i) Sugar Street; (i) Vehicles on Victoria Park Road (ii) Paterson Street between Kingston flyover heading for Gloucester Street and Great George Street; Road (southbound) will be (iii) Inner Gloucester Road between diverted to turn right onto Inner the ramp leading from Victoria Gloucester Road (westbound); Park Road Flyover and Causeway (ii) Vehicles on Paterson Street Road (except for vehicles on Tai (southbound) will be diverted to Hang Road flyover heading for turn left onto Kingston Street Gloucester Road (northbound)); (eastbound); (iv) Kingston Street (westbound) (iii) Vehicles along Cleveland Street between Gloucester Road and will be prohibited from turning Paterson Street ; right onto Kingston Street (v) Great George Street, east of (westbound); Paterson Street; and (iv) Vehicles on Gloucester Road (vi) Hing Fat Street will be closed (northbound) and Tai Hang Road intermittently to all vehicular flyover (northbound) will be traffic (except for franchised prohibited from turning left onto buses and green minibuses). The following road sections may also be closed to all vehicular traffic if situation requires: (i) Cleveland Street between Gloucester Road and Kingston Street; (ii) Kingston Street (eastbound) between Paterson Street and Inner Gloucester Road; and (iii) Paterson Street between Kingston Street and Inner Gloucester Road. (c) Suspension of Carparks and Parking Spaces (i) All parking spaces (except disabled parking spaces) in Hing Fat Street Public Carpark will be suspended from 5.00 pm on 24 September 2018 to 3.00 am of the following day; and from 7.00 pm to 11.59 pm daily on 25 September 2018; (ii) the access for carparks in Great George Street will be restricted from from 7.00 pm to 11.59 pm daily on 22, 23 and 25 September 2018; from 7.00 pm on 24 September 2018 to 3.00 am of the following day; and (iii) Disable parking spaces at Gloucester Road (northbound) near Sugar Street will be suspended from 7.00 pm to 11.59 pm daily on 22, 23 and 25 September 2018; and from 7.00 pm on 24 September 2018 to 3.00 am of the TDN Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 (21/09) following day. (d) Suspension of Taxi Stands Depending on the crowd and traffic condition, taxi stands at Paterson Street near Great George Street may be suspended from 7.00 pm to 11.59 pm daily on 22, 23 and 25 September 2018; and from 7.00 pm on 24 September 2018 to 3.00 am of the following day; and Depending on the crowd and traffic condition, taxi stands at Electric Road near Park Towers may also be suspended from 7.00 pm to 11.59 pm daily on 23 and 25 September 2018; and from 7.00 pm on 24 September 2018 to 3.00 am of the following day. (e) Suspension of Public Light Bus Stands Public light bus stands at Sugar Street and Paterson Street will be suspended from 7.00 pm on 24 September 2018 to 3.00 am of the following day; and from 7.00 pm to 11.59 pm on 25 September 2018. Depending on the crowd and traffic condition, these public light bus stands may also be suspended from 7.00 pm to 11.59 pm daily on 22 and 23 September 2018. (f) Learner Drivers Prohibition Zone The following road sections will be prohibited to all learner drivers from 7.00 pm to 11.59 pm daily on 22, 23 and 25 September 2018; and from 7.00 pm on 24 September 2018 to 3.00 am of the following day: (i) Leighton Road (eastbound); (ii) Tin Lok Lane; (iii) Tung Lo Wan Road; (iv) Hing Fat Street; (v) Electric Road between Wing Hing Street and Yacht Street; (vi) Morrison Hill Road (northbound); (vii) Hennessy Road, east of Marsh Road; (viii) Tin Hau Temple Road between Fortress Hill Road and Causeway Road; and (ix) Causeway Road. (3) Traffic Arrangements in the Peak Area (a) Road Closure and Traffic Diversion The following road closures and traffic diversions will be implemented from 4.30 pm on 24 September 2018 to 2.30 am of the following day; and from 4.30 pm to TDN Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 (21/09) 11.00 pm on 25 September 2018: (x) All uphill traffic along Peak Road towards Harlech Road, Lugard Road and Mount Austin Road (except for access by local residents or vehicles with permits). All vehicles will be diverted to downhill via the slip road next to the carpark entrance of the Peak Galleria; and (xi) Lugard Road, Harlech Road and Mount Austin Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic (except for access by local residents or vehicles with permits). (b) Suspension of Parking Spaces All on-street metered parking spaces and motorcycle parking spaces in Victoria Peak Garden, Mount Austin Road will be suspended from 4.30 pm on 24 September 2018 to 2.30 am of the following day; and from 4.30 pm to 11.00 pm on 25 September 2018. (4) Traffic Arrangements outside Lower Peak Tram Station (a) Road Closure and Traffic Diversion Tramway Lane outside Lower Peak Tram Station leading from Garden Road to World Wild Fund for Nature will be closed to all vehicular traffic (except franchised buses and taxis) from 12.00 noon to 11.59 pm daily on 24 and 25 September 2018. Private buses and coaches should use the unnamed road between Murray Building and No. 3 Garden Road. (b) Suspension of Parking Spaces All on-street metered parking spaces, motorcycle parking spaces and disabled parking spaces at Tramway Lane will be suspended from 12.00 noon to 11.59 pm daily on 24 and 25 September 2018. (c) Relocation of Taxi Stand The taxi stand at Tramway Lane outside Lower Peak Tram Station will be relocated to the lay-by on Garden Road outside Lower Peak Tram Station from 12.00 noon to 11.59 pm daily on 24 and 25 September 2018. A temporary taxi drop off point will be designated on Tramway Lane. (5) Traffic Arrangements in Repulse Bay (a) Road Closure and Traffic Diversion Depending on the crowd and traffic condition, the following road closures and traffic arrangements may be implemented on 24 and 25 September 2018: TDN Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 (21/09) (i) Public light buses on Repulse Bay Road may be prohibited from entering Beach Road; (ii) South Bay Road south of South Bay Path may be closed to all vehicular traffic, when the carparks on South Bay Road are full (except for access by local residents and public transport service); (iii) All vehicles on Repulse Bay Road (eastbound) will not be permitted to make an ‘U’ turn at its junction with South Bay Road; (iv) All vehicles on Repulse Bay Road will be banned from waiting outside “The Repulse Bay” carpark, if it is full; and (v) All vehicles on Beach Road (except for access to the residential developments at South Bay Road) will be diverted onto South Bay Road (northbound) for leaving the area, when the carparks on South Bay Road are full.

District Context Location The SCVA is located at the northern part of Tsuen Wan. The SCVA covers the area of Fu Yung Shan in Tsuen Wan. Chai Wan Kok is to the west of the SCVA, Tsuen Wan is to the south and east, and Tai Mo Shan Country Park is to the north. The SCVA is generally hilly with a maximum elevation of about +317 mPD. Near half of the SCVA at its north encroaches onto Tai Mo Shan Country Park. Local villages namely Kwong Pan Tin Tsuen, Kwong Pan Tin San Tsuen and Pak Tin Pa San Tsuen are located at the western portion of the SCVA.

  • Trailwalker Route
    TRAILWALKER ROUTE Route The 100 km route starts in Pak Tam Chung at Sai Kung, and covers sections 1 to 9 of the MacLehose Trail, which is about 88 km (M001 – M174). After passing distance post M174 and leaving CP9, the route leaves the MacLehose Trail and travels five kilometers along a country trail to the north coast of Tai Lam Chung Reservoir. The trail then turns right along a paved road towards Wong Nai Tun / Tai Tong and heads towards the Finish Point at the Po Leung Kuk Jockey Club Tai Tong Holiday Camp in Yuen Long (OTW175 – OTW198). Finish: Yuen Long (Tai Tong) Start: Sai Kung (Pak Tam Chung) CP = Checkpoint Important Note: The Oxfam Trailwalker trail is not identical to the MacLehose Trail.
