1 Newlands News January – March 2020 About Newlands Parish The Parish of Newlands comprises the parts of the West of Waterlooville Major Development Area (MDA) that sit within Winchester City Council district. The Parish was formed from parts of Southwick and Widley, and parishes and became a separate legal entity on 1st April 2019. The first Parish elections were uncontested with the Parish Council meeting for the first time in May 2019. Parish Council Meetings The Parish Council meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7.30pm, with the Planning Committee meeting at 7pm on the same day, if there is business to discuss.

The Finance Committee and Amenities Committee meet on alternate months on the 1st Thursday at 7.30pm with Finance starting from January and Amenities from February.

All meetings are held at Newlands Community Hall.
