Harbour Life A Running from 10 July - 31 December The Signal Tower Museum, Arbroath Opening Hours | Free An exhibition of recently donated paintings of Arbroath Harbour by a variety of well-known local artists. Began July 2017 and runs until New Year’s Eve.

40 years of the A Friends of the William Lamb Studio Running from 26 August - 4 November Montrose Museum Opening hours | Free An exhibition celebrating the work of the Friends of the William Lamb Studio. The displays look at how the Friends began their activities over the years and include a selection of Lamb’s work.

Kirsty Lorenz ‘Floresce’ A 7 October - 4 November | Museum hours | Free The Meffan Museum & Art Gallery, Forfar Kirsty Lorenz is a visual artist for whom flowers have been a central subject since 2004. Over the years her incorporation of them into her artwork has grown from straight portraiture to more complex compositions and ideas. Her current project, ‘Votive Offerings’ is an ongoing series of portrayals of wild flower posies made around Scotland.

14 Soldiers of the First World War: 12 + real lives revealed through letters, photographs and poems 17 October | 14:00-15:00 | Free The Signal Tower Museum, Arbroath Caroline Brown, Archivist from the University of Dundee Archives, will explore the lives of soldiers at the Front during the First World War. Archival material will shed light on the experiences of Joseph Lee, Dundee’s war poet and artist, as well as other soldiers, ambulance men and those left behind. Letters and photographs will bring their time in the trenches vividly to life.
