Dear Michael Jeltsch,

Please find enclosed a copy of the evaluation committee’s report on your teaching skills related to your application for a docentship in the field of Protein Chemistry. The report is in Finnish and says that you have good teaching skills which is required of and that your demonstration of teaching skills (trial lecture) was graded as good. (Teaching skills are evaluated on the basis of the qualitative criteria for the assessment of teaching qualifications: http://www.helsinki.fi/bio/faculty/materials/biotietopetuksenarviointikriteerit_en.pdf).

The Faculty Council will decide at its next meeting (8.11.2011) whether you have the academic qualifications and teaching skills required for the docentship you have applied, and if so, will make a proposal to the for granting you the of . The Chancellor usually grants the title within a couple of weeks after the Faculty Council has proposed it. Once the title has been granted the Chancellor’s office will inform you about it.

After the Chancellor has granted you the title of docent at the of Helsinki we need to send information about your docentship (including your personal and contact information) to the service centre of the university that takes care of personnel affairs etc. For this purpose I would still need to know the following information:
