Na Fianna Nuacht Weekend Action Best of luck to our Senior and Inter hulers in league on Saturday at 6.30pm. Seniors host neighbours St Vincents in Mobhi Road and Inters travel to Sean Moore Park to play Clanna Gael Fontenoy. Full fixture list on website, best of luck to all teams, all support welcome. Na Fianna’s Dubs Sunday’s big game is the much awaited clash of Dublin and Meath in the Leinster SFC final and best of luck to Jonny Cooper, Tomás Brady, Niall McGovern and Dublin’s footballers. The teams meet in the Leinster final for a third successive year, with Dublin having won the last two. Dublin are bidding for a fourth successive Leinster title and a ninth in ten years. Good luck also to Dublin’s Minor footballers including Na Fianna’s Aaron Byrne, Jack Carey, Cathal Doran, Al Fitzgerald, Ian Jesson, Eoghan McHugh, Eoin Murchan and Glen O’Reilly, in their Leinster final against Kildare on Sunday. Best of luck to Arlene Cushen, Alva Egan, Bláithín McQuillan, Elaine O’Meara and Dublin’s Senior Camogie team in tomorrow’s Championship Group 1 match against Wexford in Parnell Park at 2.30pm. Good luck to Dublin’s Premier Junior Camogie team including including Gráinne Ryan, Ellen Keatley and Cliona McCullough in tomorrow’s Championship match against Down in Portaferry. Good luck to Dublin Minor Ladies footballers, including injured vice captain Na Fianna’s Fiona Tuite in tomorrow’s All-Ireland semi-final against Galway in Birr at 2pm. Even if you’re not going to Croker why not enjoy a great value lunch in a friendly club atmosphere and meet the match crowd before, during and after. Na Fianna Nuacht 18ú Iúil 2014 1 Na Fianna Nuacht Senior Ladies County Final The Senior Ladies County final between Na Fianna and Foxrock Cabinteely will be played next Friday, 25th July in Lawless Memorial Park, Swords, with an 8.30pm throw-in. Our ladies, pictured below, will be looking for huge support on the night as they contest their sixth final in fourteen years. Na Fianna Nuacht 18ú Iúil 2014 2 Na Fianna Nuacht U-14 Handball Winner Congrats to Tom Gleeson on winning First place, for the second year in a row, in the recent Na Fianna U-14 competition. Members’ Subscriptions Members are again reminded that subscriptions for the current year became due and payable immediately following the Club’s AGM last October. Outstanding members’ subs can be paid in the bar on Wednesday nights between 6.30pm and 9pm and again on Saturday mornings from 9am to 11am. Payments by card, cheque and cash will be accepted. Subscriptions can also be paid at the club office, Mon to Fri, 9am to 1pm. Na Fianna Nuacht 18ú Iúil 2014 3 Na Fianna Nuacht Na Fianna GAA Summer Camps 2014 This week saw another successful Summer camp in Na Fianna with over 130 children taking part. The Camps and the camp crew will now take a break for a few weeks but will resume again on Monday 11th August. Bookings for the August camps, both the club camp and the Cúl camp, have been very strong and early registration is advised so as to avoid disappointment. Registrations can be made online (see below) or by dropping completed forms into the club office, Mon-Fri 9am to 1pm. Parents are further requested to ensure that their children are registered for camps in plenty of time so as to avoid unnecessary delays on the first morning of the remaining camps. End of Summer Disco Fundraiser The 2001 girls group are getting their Féile planning off to a start with an "End of Summer" disco to be held in Na Fianna on Friday the 22nd August. This fundraising event is targeted at the Club’s 200 and 2001 boys and girls. A strictly ticket-only event, tickets will be on sale through the Club from 15th August. A great way to ease back into a bit of normality. Na Fianna Nuacht 18ú Iúil 2014 4 Na Fianna Nuacht Former Na Fianna Games Promotion Officer Colm Crowley, a happy man, pictured in Páirc Uí Chaoimh after Cork’s Munster Hurling Final win last Sunday. Colm, pictured with Na Fianna’s Kevin (U-14) and Ailbhe (U-16) O’Sullivan, sends his best regards to all in the Club and is looking forward to renewing old friendships in August.
