Cecily Anderson had another impressive game with 10 @ Midland University* W, 21-0 five goals and three assists. Otta- * KCAC Contests wa is in fourth place in the KCAC with a 7-2 record in KCAC play. - This match-up between the Braves and the Ravens will be the ninth in program history. Complete Coverage of OU Athletics 1 | BRAVES WOMEN’S LACROSSE Ottawa Women’s Lacrosse Ottawa Women’s Lacrosse SAMANTHA AUCOIN HEAD COACH PAIGE MCALLISTER 4TH SEASON ASSISTANT COACH Coach Aucoin is in her fouth season as head coach of the OU women’s lacrosse team. 4TH SEASON Coach McAllister is in her fourth season as an assistant coach with the OU women’s In her previous three seasons, Aucoin has coached seven All-KCAC performers, two lacrosse program. KCAC Defenders of the Year, and two NAIA All-Americans. She has a record of 16- 17 at OU. McAllister lettered in women’s lacrosse at Ottawa University and Clarkson University. While at OU, she was a First Team All-KCAC performer and a three-time KCAC Of- fensive Player of the Week. At Clarkson, she was a Second Team All-Liberty League With Aucoin at the helm, the 2020 Braves finished the CoVID-19 shortened season with an overall record of Rookie of the Week. 2-1 and a KCAC record of 1-0. Ottawa was ranked 11th in the NAIA in assists per game (5.6), 15th in shots per game (31), 15th in goals per game (13.6), 16in shots on goal per game (22.6), 19th in total assists (17), 23rd in total points (58), 23rd in total goals (41), 25th in total shots (93), 25th in total shots on goal (68), 33rd in total saves (14), and 36th in saves per game (4.6). Under Aucoin’s leadership, the 2019 Braves finished the season with a record of 7-8 and a finish of second in the NOLAN CASTLE KCAC with a record of 4-2. Ottawa qualified for its fourth straight KCAC Tournament Championship game. OU had four named to the All-KCAC teams with Ady Barraza being named KCAC Defensive Player of the Year. VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT COACH The team broke seven individual career records, one team single season record, three individual single season 2ND SEASON records, and two team game records. Coach Castle is in his second season as a volunteer assistant coach for the men’s lacrosse team. He will coach the goalkeepers for the Braves. The 2018 Braves finished with an overall record of 7-8 and a conference record of 4-3. Under Aucoin’s leader- ship, OU qualified for its third straight KCAC Tournament Championship Game. The Braves had three players Castle was a three year letterman for the Braves. He played in 24 games, making earn All-KCAC honors. Kiarah Thomas was named KCAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year, Diana Moreno was six starts. Castle scored six goals and had 14 assists for 20 points. He had nine named KCAC Defensive Player of the Year, and Kayla Saucedo earned First Team All-KCAC honors. The Braves ground balls. broke three single game records and 10 individual career records. Before coming to Ottawa University, Aucoin was the head women’s lacrosse coach at Midland University in Fre- mont, Neb. (2015-2017). While at Midland, Aucoin coached one All-American, three scholar athletes, six All- KCAC selections, the 2016 KCAC Offensive Player of the Year and the 2017 KCAC Defensive Player of the Year. Prior to coaching at Midland, Aucoin was the head women’s lacrosse coach at Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass. (2013-2014). Her team won the GNAC Conference Sportsmanship Team Award in 2014 and received academic honors for having the highest team GPA in 2013. Aucoin attended New England College where she was earned four letters in women’s lacrosse. She was a three year starter, and helped lead her team to the North Atlantic Conference finals in 2012.
