Rekluse auto clutch can make your motorcycle appear to be in neutral when in gear, even when the engine is running and clutch lever released. Motorcycles equipped with a Rekluse auto clutch can move suddenly and unexpectedly and cause riders to lose control. To avoid death, serious injury, and/or property damage: • Sit on the motorcycle to start; motorcycle should not be running if not seated. • Pull in the clutch lever to disengage the clutch. • Verify that the motorcycle is in neutral. • Ensure the engine has reached idle speed, the clutch lever is pulled in to disengage the clutch, and the is applied when putting the motorcycle in gear. • Do NOT “rev” engine to high RPMs while stopped with the clutch lever out and the motorcycle in gear. • Always ensure the motorcycle is OFF before dismounting. The Rekluse TorqDrive® equipped clutches can increase the transferred from the engine to the . Do not use higher force pressure plate springs than those included in the kit. Doing so can cause accelerated wear and fatigue to components that can lead to part failure, engine damage, bike or damage, injury, and/or loss of life.

The clutch requires the clutch basket be in good working condition to function properly. This includes the basket dampers and/or springs. If any notching of the basket can be felt, the basket should be replaced. Do not use baskets that have been filed, machined, or modified on the tangs. The sleeves included in this kit will not notch due to worn dampers/springs, however worn dampers/springs can cause sleeve failure.

Thoroughly inspect the clutch regularly. Failure to do so can result in part failure, engine damage, bike or vehicle damage, injury, and/or loss of life. • Inspect the whole basket for fatigue cracks, basket sleeve wear, and tang notching. • Inspect the dampers/springs for rotational play. Dampers/springs should not move. Worn dampers/springs could lead to sleeve failure. • Inspect the basket sleeves for wear or any subtle notching. • Replace parts as necessary.
