Deadpool (2016) [108m] D: Tim Miller C: Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand, Karan Soni, Michael Benyaer, Voice of Stefan Kapicic. Snarky mercenary (Reynolds) is afflicted with terminal cancer and, in hopes for finding a cure, donates himself to mad scientists of which consequently results in a regenerative mutation rendering him nearly indestructible…but with a face only a mother could love. Demented, deformed, and nowhere to turn, obviously he becomes a superhero/vigilante to extract revenge on those responsible. Based off the irreverent and inhumane Marvel Comics character created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Leifeld; Reynolds pulls out all of the stops with pomp and vigor. Certainly not for the squeamish, but a fresh and hilarious break from the archetypal superhero mold. Reynolds also co-produced. Confrontational and evocative slice of Americana ultimately secured by McDormand’s no frills disposition. McDonagh, who also scripted, manages to conjure an intricate and empathetic character study with no easy answers. Filmed mostly in Asheville and Sylva, North Carolina. Terrific Carter Burwell score. A Movie Review: Release: February 2016 Rating: 15 Director: Tim Miller Cast: Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, Brianna Hildebrand, TJ Miller, Stefan Kapicic Plot: After developing multiple inoperable tumours, Wade Wilson undertakes an experiment to cure him. After suffering drastic side effects, he sets out to seek revenge on the man who ruined his life. Development hell. That unsavoury purgatory from which most films never escape. After more than 10 years in development, involving multiple rewrites, recastings and even a PG-13 version, Deadpool finally escapes, thanks to some "leaked" test footage which saw Fox greenlight the picture within 24 hours. And it's been a long time coming. Right from the spectacular opening credits (which will surely go down as some of the best ever made) it's clear that director Tim Miller and star Ryan Reynolds have got Deadpool's spirit spot on. Reynolds is an absolute joy to watch; he's clearly having a much better time here than in 2009's disastrous X-Men: Origins (which he has since stated he felt "blackmailed" into doing). The Merc With a Mouth is exactly that; there are in-jokes, pop culture references and fourth-wall breaks abound (even an Inception-esque fourth- wall break within a fourth-wall break). Little escapes unmentioned, Deadpool opting to take the mickey out of just about everything that springs to mind, including Reynolds' turn as Green Lantern, Reynolds himself, Hugh Jackman, and there's even a cheeky reference to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In terms of character, Deadpool is perfect. The film doesn't fall short in its story aspect either; instead of opting for a standard "the world is in immediate danger and only the hero can stop it" story, Miller rolls with more of an action-romance, and it's much better for it.

His father took him to see "Jurassic Park" in 1993 in Newcastle, England. Accompanied by the astonishing visuals and John Williams' blazing music, alongside with a big carton of caramel-coated popcorn, this event as a powerful emotional experience marked a new interest in Wilkinson's life towards films and film music. In high school, Wilkinson took an interest in jazz to the extent that he pursued further education in jazz piano and composition at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. After winning an award for a ballad composition and soon after another award for a composition for mixed choir, Wilkinson got an opportunity to compose for several nationally broadcasted television series and commercials and he began actively pursuing a career in composing for film, while continuing to teach and perform. Cobb If the casting department at Fox set out to find an actress who would not only raise pulses, but also provide a physically formidable presence - they hit pay-dirt. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has signed actress and former MMA champion, Gina Carano, to join the cast of Deadpool to play the role of Angel Dust. It's not yet known how exactly the character of Angel Dust figures into the storyline, since the actual plot has not been disclosed. However, in the Marvel Comics universe, Angel Dust is a young woman with the ability to increase her adrenaline level, giving her superhuman strength for a short duration. She's affiliated with a group of mutants living beneath the streets of Chicago, who are referred to as the Morlocks. Aside from Ryan Reynolds in the lead as Deadpool, Carano joins a cast that includes Ed Skrein and T.J.Miller. Both Skrein and Miller's roles are still a mystery, but it seems likely that Miller's character will provide comic relief and Skrein's will possibly be as a villainous character. Tim Miller will be directing his first live action film, when he steps behind the camera to helm Deadpool. Miller is one of the founders of Blur Studios, who were responsible for the Deadpool test footage that was leaked on the internet on July 28th of 2014. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are attached to write the script, where they will hopefully give the "Merc with a Mouth" plenty of opportunities to "break the fourth wall".
