ANNOUNCING

The St. Hugo of the Hills Parish Annual Christmas Card Design Contest The annual St. Hugo Christmas card design contest is open to all children in kindergarten through eighth grade for St. Hugo of the Hills School or Religious Education Program students. We continually look for- ward to the designs the children send in as they are always fascinating and thought provoking. There are guidelines to remember to follow. The artwork should be focused on the reason we celebrate Christmas which is the birth of Jesus. The artwork must be the student’s own work. The drawings are to be no more than 8 1/2 x 11 inches and submitted on white paper. Remember to in- clude your name, grade and program, and whether it is school or Religious Education on the back side of the drawing. Secular designs/wording, computer designs or outside/adult help will not be considered.

All designs must be submitted to the parish office, religious education office or school office by Monday, November 7, 2016. Late entries will not be considered. We encourage ALL St. Hugo School and RE Program children in kindergarten through eighth grade to participate in this contest... and once again we look forward to seeing how creative you can be!

Have Fun and Enjoy!!!!!

Walking Toward Eternity: Engaging the Struggles of Your Heart

Walking Toward Eternity by Jeff Cavins & Emily Cavins is an inspiring series designed to help parcipants live their faith more fully. Through daily prayerful meditaon with Scripture (leco divina), they will be drawn into an inmate and lifeRchanging encounter with Christ. Engaging the Struggles of Your Heart, the second series of Walking Toward Eternity, is a challenging study that can open our eyes to obstacles in our Chrisan walk such as greed, envy, fear and shame. Through prayer, reflecon, guidance, and the aid of the Holy Spirit, we begin to engage these difficules in a posive way as we connue toward our goal of union with Christ. This study introduces seven common struggles. You will learn how to engage your: appetes, shame, envy, anger, fear, loneliness and hopelessness.
