ACHIEVEMENTS, HIGHLIGHTS, SUCCESSES The Rixton with Glazebrook Carnival Committee would like to express their thanks to the residents of the parish for their support of the Carnival in June 2014. They said: “The staging of such an event naturally required kind financial donations from several funders, who we are indebted to. In addition, numerous volunteers donated their time Sunday to help the Carnival run smoothly and without their support we would not have been able to hold the event. Many local groups hosted stalls and raised funds to support the good work they do in our parish. It was brilliant to see so many people having fun on Hollinfare Village Green, photographs from the day can be found on rixtonwithglazebrook.net.” Saturday Such was the positive feedback from the event, the committee are now in the process of organising next year’s Carnival, to be held on Saturday 27th June 2015; please make a note! Already they have over £2,000 in the pot for the event, raised from raffle and stalls. Updates of the Friday
