The airport has approximately 20,000 passengers and over 200 flights per day and was also the target for the first terrorist attack in Scotland (2007) The M8 and A737 are the main road transport links within Renfrewshire, giving access to Glasgow, Inverclyde and North Ayrshire. There are also main rail links through the Renfrewshire area from Glasgow to Ayrshire.
