Richmond, BC – Chicago-born comedian-actress, Kathy Griffin first made a name for herself playing the role of “Vickie Groener” on the NBC sitcom, Suddenly Susan from 1996 to 2000 and as recurring character, “Sally Weaver” on NBC’s Seinfeld from 1996 to 1998. It was back in the early 80’s when Kathy moved to the West Coast and joined the famed Los Angeles Groundlings comedy improvisational troupe. After building her resume with guest starring roles on several television shows, she entered the world of stand-up and quickly landed her own HBO Half Hour Comedy Special in 1998 followed by her one-hour special, Kathy Griffin: Hot Cup of Talk. She also has a great passion for reality TV … in 2001, she hosted MTV’s Kathy’s So-Called Reality Series and in 2003, she not only hosted NBC’s Average Joe but she also participated in and won ABC’s Celebrity Mole.

Kathy’s hit comedy series, Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List which airs on Bravo is currently in its sixth season. The first three seasons were nominated for an Emmy for “Outstanding Reality Program” … she took home the award in 2007 and 2008. The episode, “I Heart Lily Tomlin” – from the show’s fifth season – was filmed on location at the River Rock Casino Resort in 2009. That same year, her autobiography, Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin was released and topped the New York Times Best Sellers List. And just this past March, she guest starred on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU in the role of “Babs Duffy.” Kathy will be returning to the River Rock for two shows in October.
