Equipos que ganaron sus divisiones la temporada siguiente a haberse perdido la postemporada a lo largo de las últimas 16 temporadas: TEMPORADA NUEVOS GANADORES DE DIVISIÓN DESPUÉS DE HABERSE PERDIDO LA POSTEMPORADA LA TEMPORADA ANTERIOR 2018 Baltimore, Chicago*, Dallas, Houston* 2017 Jacksonville*, Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans, Minnesota, Philadelphia* 2016 Atlanta, Dallas* 2015 Houston, Minnesota, Washington* 2014 Dallas, Pittsburgh 2013 Carolina*, Philadelphia* 2012 Washington* 2011 Denver*, Houston*, New York Giants, San Francisco 2010 Atlanta, Chicago, Kansas City*, Pittsburgh, Seattle 2009 Cincinnati, Dallas, New England, New Orleans* 2008 Arizona, Carolina, Miami*, Minnesota 2007 Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay* 2006 Baltimore*, New Orleans*, Philadelphia*, San Diego Chargers 2005 Chicago*, Cincinnati, New York Giants, Tampa Bay* 2004 Atlanta*, Pittsburgh, San Diego* 2003 Baltimore, Carolina*, Kansas City*, New England, St. Louis Rams *De peor a primero EQUIPOS SUPERLATIVOS CON SIETE GANADOS. • Nfc West Battle on Monday Night Highlights Week 10
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 11/5/19 http://twitter.com/nfl345 NFC WEST BATTLE ON MONDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS WEEK 10 To help celebrate the NFL’s 100th season, each week will feature an NFL 100 Game of the Week. Each game is a nod to a momentous game played, a fierce rivalry that spans decades, a matchup of original teams and/or a game in which history was made. The NFL has designated Sunday’s ATLANTA FALCONS-NEW ORLEANS SAINTS matchup as the NFL100 Game of the Week because the contest is a nod to the momentous 2006 Saints home-opener, when the team sparked the resurgence of a community devastated by Hurricane Katrina. In an electrifying moment at the Superdome on September 25, 2006, STEVE GLEASON blocked a first-quarter punt and CURTIS DELOATCH recovered the ball in the end zone, an uplifting initial score in the city’s first regular-season game since December 26, 2004. Buoyed by the win, the 3-0 Saints advanced to the NFC Championship game, and three years later won the Super Bowl. The game also marked the first home contest in the New Orleans career of the NFL’s all-time passing-yards leader, DREW BREES. HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL: Through the first nine weeks of the 2019 season, four teams – the BUFFALO BILLS (6-2), GREEN BAY PACKERS (7-2), MINNESOTA VIKINGS (6-3) and SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (8-0) – are in playoff position after missing the postseason a year ago. From 1990-2018 – a streak of 29 consecutive years – at least four teams have qualified for the playoffs in every season that were not in the postseason the year before.

For instance, just when you thought Indianapolis might run the table, it came back to the rest of the league. When it looked like Baltimore might be in trouble with two consecutive October losses and little scoring, it reeled off nine wins in its last 10 games. But for pure unpredictability, look no further than Nashville. The Tennessee Titans lost their first five games and seven of their first nine before reeling off six wins in a row behind the Associated Press’ Offensive Rookie of the Year, quarterback VINCE YOUNG, to go into the final week of the season with a chance at the playoffs. “Nothing in the NFL should surprise anyone,” says Seattle Seahawks head coach MIKE HOLMGREN. “Anybody’s capable of beating anyone else. You only play 16 games. That’s why the NFL is at the height of its popularity.” There was one team that seemed to sail through the season unscathed – the San Diego Chargers, builders of the league’s best record (14-2). “Marty Ball” took on a whole new meaning in the exuberant production of LA DAINIAN TOMLINSON, AP’s NFL Most Valuable Player of ’06.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NFL-REG-12 11/21/06 IT’S TIME FOR TURKEY, TIEBREAKERS & A THANKSGIVING TRIPLEHEADER The NFL menu is bursting with goodies this Thanksgiving weekend. There’s the tradition of family and football…a first-time NFL Thanksgiving Day tripleheader…the beginning of the “tiebreaker season” (Chicago can clinch its division)…and a whole package of unpredictable games. And DERRICK BROOKS can’t wait! The Tampa Bay Buccaneers veteran linebacker will finally play on Thanksgiving and he’s ecstatic. “I’ve been hoping for this chance for 12 years,” says Brooks of his game on Thursday against Dallas. “Everyone is watching, including the troops overseas. That’s exciting for our team.” There will be three NFL games this Thursday, the first Thanksgiving tripleheader of the modern era. There are the traditional games in Detroit and Dallas which will be followed by a primetime contest in Kansas City that marks the debut of an eight-game Thursday and Saturday night NFL Network package – the first regular season games carried by the network. A preview of the NFL Thanksgiving tripleheader: • MIAMI DOLPHINS at DETROIT LIONS (CBS, 12:30 PM ET): Former Lions first-round draft choice JOEY HARRINGTON returns to face the club he quarterbacked from 2002-05. Detroit, hosting its 67th Thanksgiving game, will confront a team with three consecutive wins, reminiscent of Miami’s six victories in a row to conclude 2005. The Dolphins will have to defend against the NFL’s fifth-ranked passing game. • TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS at DALLAS COWBOYS (FOX, 4:15 PM ET): Two young quarterbacks experiencing their first year of NFL action go at it – Bucs rookie BRUCE GRADKOWSKI and Cowboys four-year vet TONY ROMO, who has built a 3-1 record in his first regular season play.
