1 Rev 3/2018 Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch Wedding Guide 2019 Congratulations and thank you for your recent inquiry. Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch provides a stunning landscape, helpful staff, and quiet location for the perfect destination wedding.

Grounds We are located in the foothills of the scenic Goldfield Mountains, creating an idyllic backdrop for your special day. Saguaro Lake Ranch is the perfect place to explore and relax, as we have many amenities and activities onsite: a heated swimming pool, volleyball, shuffleboard, ping-pong, a billiard table, horseshoes, board games, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, and kayaking (in season). We have several outdoor ceremony & reception sites to choose from. We offer this beautiful wedding venue in the months of September – December and April – May (we are closed from June – August).

Accommodations The cabins were built in the late 1920’s and while updated, are uniquely decorated with rustic Western furnishings. Each cabin has its own private bath, air conditioning, and heating. Although there are no TVs, radios, or telephones in the rooms, wireless Internet service is available throughout the entire facility. Each ranchette cabin has a covered porch with table and chairs, creating ideal places to gather and converse with your family and friends.

Main Lodge The lodge is a comfortable gathering place with an inviting four- sided historic river stone fireplace and upright piano. The Saguaro cactus skeleton, western prints, and desert photographs add enchantment to our lodge decor. Our guests enjoy the billiard table and authentic cowboy bar in the recreation room, as well as the treasures in the gift shop.

Wedding FAQ's

Q: Can I rent out the grounds for just a few hours for a ceremony and/or reception?

A: We require that all weddings hosted at the ranch involve a 2-night minimum booking of the entire grounds and lodging accommodations. We do not rent out our grounds for day use only. For this reason, we advertise the ranch as a destination wedding venue.

Q: Does the ranch provide reception dinners?

A: Not at this time. Your reception dinner is to be provided by a licensed caterer of your choice, Unfortunately, we cannot allow any potluck-style meals. We provide breakfast every morning, as well as lunch on the day of the ceremony.

Q: Does the ranch provide rehearsal dinner?

A: Yes, SLR has several menu options for your rehearsal dinner. Costs ranging from $27 to $35. Please ask for more details if you are interested.

Q: Are we allowed to have an outside caterer or food truck for the rehearsal dinner?

A: Yes, you are allowed to bring in your own catered dinner or food truck. There is an additional site fee for any outside catered rehearsal dinner.

Q: What are the ranch’s rules on alcohol consumption?

A: All alcoholic beverages consumed in our common areas, at the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception must be provided through us; see our beverage packages detailed in this guide. In addition, any bartenders must be procured / hired through us, for a four-hour minimum. Due to the restrictions of our liquor license, we serve only beer and wine. No hard liquor.

7 Rev 3/2018 Q: Outside of main events are we allowed to have our own alcohol beverages on property?

A: Due to our liquor license all alcohol beverages in common areas (aka - inside the lodge, in front of the lodge, pool area and grass area up top or riverside) needs to be purchased through the ranch. Guests may have their own beverages in their cabin or on their porches. Beer / wine is available for purchase anytime during the weekend through the front desk. No hard liquor can be purchased or brought due to liquor license.

Q: What equipment and amenities does the ranch provide?

A: We have tables and chairs at your disposal, as well as burn barrels for small bonfires. All other amenities such as tents, lighting, linens, heaters, etc., can be brought in through a party rental company of your choice. Vendors can start setting at noon the day before the ceremony. Take down must be completed within 24 hours of your group’s checking out.

Q: How can I check wedding date availability at the ranch?

A: You can take a look at our availability calendar on our website’s “Destination Weddings” page under “Wedding Season.” Because our wedding celebrations take place outside, we only schedule weddings in April, May, and September through December.

Q: How many lodging guests can the ranch accommodate?

A: We can accommodate up to 60 of your guests’ maximum, depending on family sizes and dynamics. Because we have cabins of different types and sizes, we will provide a configuration map in order to facilitate the rooming assignment process. We are happy to recommend overflow accommodations nearby.
