MMEETEET TTHEHE SSENIORENIOR Hendrix College, the athletic department, and women’s basketball program would like to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of our lone senior of the class of 2009, Samantha Clark of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Samantha has been a valued and engaged member of the Hendrix College community, the athletic department, and our women’s basketball program. She has embodied the essence of what it is to be a truly successful Student-Athlete. As a biology major, Samantha has a grade point average of 3.5 while being a member of Beta Beta Beta, the Hendrix Biology Society, and has been involved with Ridin Dirty with Science, worked as a Zoology teacher assistant, and helped with Undergraduate research. Samantha has also served the Hendrix community as an Orientation Leader, Campus Kitty Organizer, Welcome Week Chair, been on the Election Committee, and served three years on the Student- Athlete Advisory Committee.

On the basketball court, there have been many, many memorable moments for this outstanding stu- dent-athlete over her four year career-from hitting buzzer beating shots, to picking the ball for a break away lay up, to better understanding how water fl ows in a fountain. Samantha has served as team captain for the past two seasons and has contributed to her team success in her four years with a record of 61-41, including 33-12 in both the old and new Grove Gymnasium. This past spring, Samantha was honored as Hendrix College NCAA Woman of the Year and was named to the 2007-2008 All-SCAC Women’s Basketball Team. She has also been named to the All-SCAC Academic Team in each of her four seasons. In her stellar four year career, she put up extremely solid numbers and has amassed 609 points to date, thanks to the well-known play “Push Down”, pulled down 425 rebounds, dished out 162 assists, and stole 121 passes. Samantha will earn a degree in biology from Hendrix and will be attending dental school at the University of Missouri at Kansas City after graduation.

Samantha Clark has left her impressions on the Hendrix College community and the Hendrix Women’s Basketball forever. Thank you, Saman- tha Clark, for your dedication and sacrifi ces during your career. You will be missed! “Once a Warrior, Always a Warrior”.
