Background The students and parents have some difficulty in walking to the school when approaching from the north of the B3227 due to the lack of either a footway or a pedestrian crossing. The scheme has been highlighted as an improvement by Umberleigh School through the School Travel Plan process. 3. Proposal The proposal is construction of a pedestrian crossing facility, new footways and signing and lining as part of local School Travel Plan. 4.
