Es a partir de las bases de datos1 de niveles de audiencia de televisión y radio, que se realiza el análisis de lo relacionado con la exposición y consumo de contenidos audiovisuales; lo anterior corresponde a datos recopilados a través de muestreo por lo cual la información presentada debe ser considerada como estimaciones. Para la lectura del presente Reporte, se sugiere tener presente lo siguiente: Cada una de las herramientas empleadas posee una naturaleza, periodicidad, metodología y tipo de recolección distintas, por lo que los resultados no son comparables entre sí. La información presentada toma como base los datos compilados por Nielsen IBOPE México a través de dispositivos llamados “people meter”, mismos que permiten la recopilación de información de manera electrónica, respecto de la exposición a la televisión. Tanto para el análisis de radio como para el de televisión, se realizó la segmentación por género y edad.
