Screening of short films and lec-dem on immunity through Yoga mark

International Day of Yoga by Films Division

Joining the world in celebrating 7th International Day of Yoga (IDY2021), Films Division streamed short films, ‘Celebrities Speak…’, highlighting the message ‘Yoga for wellbeing’ by a number of eminent personalities from different walks of life including film and sports. The films were streamed on Films Division website and YouTube channel on 21 June 2021. An online lec-dem on Immunity through Yoga by Shri Ram Yogi, a well-knownYoga guru and fitness expert, for the employees of Films Division was another highlight of the IDY2021 celebration.

‘Celebrities Speak…’, a collage of short films emphasizing the importance of Yoga for mental and physical wellbeing featured film, sports and other celebrities from all over India. Renowned artists like Asha Bhosale, Kabir Bedi, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Kamal Hasan, Ramesh Aravind, Venkatesh, Rana Daggubati and Punit Raj Kumar, cricketer Anil Kumble and many more shared their experience of how Yoga and Pranayama help to bring balance between body, mind and soul.

The films were streamed on Films Division website https://filmsdivision.org/Documentary of the Week and YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/user/filmsdivision on 21st June, 2021 and 495 Yoga enthusiasts enjoyed the short films. The online streaming was well covered by print, electronic and social media as annexed.

The Films Division officials in Mumbai and field offices enthusiastically participated in the Yoga lec-dem by well-known Yoga guru and fitness expert, Shri Ram Yogi. While elaborating on the importance of regular practice of Yoga for mental and physical wellbeing, he stressed upon Pranayama as a core of Yoga practice to relieve stress during the Covid period, leading to overall immunity.
