Abstract Throughout the history Afghanistan remained a battle ground for the varying interests of different powers. Today, the country is under the sway of NATO and USA. The regional and neighboring powers are also mending their axes there. The country is facing great challenges of internal strife, power struggle, unstable governments and lack of confidence of the people and elites upon the governments. The current effort aims at the very important research area ‘Interests of USA in Afghanistan.’ A descriptive, analytical and historical research has been carried out to keep in contact with main topic.
