Ravi Zacharias

Ravi Zacharias is Founder and President of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM), which celebrated its thirtieth anniversary in 2014. Dr. Zacharias has spoken all over the world for 43 years in scores of universities, notably Harvard, Dartmouth, Johns Hopkins, and Cambridge. He has addressed writers of the peace accord in South Africa and military ofcers at the Lenin Military Academy and the Center for Geopolitical Strategy in Moscow. At the invitation of the President of Nigeria, he addressed delegates at the First Annual Prayer Breakfast for African Leaders held in Mozambique.

Mr. Zacharias has direct contact with key leaders, senators, congressmen, and governors who consult him on an ongoing basis. He has addressed the Florida Legislature and the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast in Texas and Louisiana, and has twice spoken at the Annual Prayer Breakfast at the United Nations in New York, which marks the beginning of the UN General Assembly each year. As the 2008 Honorary Chairman of the National Day of Prayer, he gave addresses at the White House, the Pentagon, and The Cannon House. He has had the privilege of addressing the National Prayer Breakfasts in the seats of government in Ottawa, Canada, and London, England, and speaking at the CIA in Washington, DC.

Born in India in 1946, Ravi immigrated to Canada with his family twenty years later. While pursuing a career in business management, his interest in theology grew; subsequently, he pursued this study during his undergraduate education. He received his Master of Divinity from Trinity International University in Deereld, Illinois. Well-versed in the disciplines of comparative religions, cults, and philosophy, he held the chair of Evangelism and Contemporary Thought at Alliance Theological Seminary for three and a half years. Dr. Zacharias has been a visiting scholar at Ridley Hall, Cambridge (then afliated with Cambridge University, now more recently allied with Cambridge and afliated with Durham University) where he studied moralist philosophers and literature of the Romantic era. He has been honored with the conferring of six doctoral degrees, including a Doctor of Laws and a Doctor of Sacred Theology.

Mr. Zacharias has authored or edited well over twenty books including the Gold Medallion winner Can Man Live Without God (Word, 1994), Walking from East to West (Zondervan, 2006), The Grand Weaver (Zondervan, 2007), Has Failed You? (Zondervan, 2010), Why Jesus, (FaithWords, 2012), and Beyond Opinion (Thomas Nelson, 2007), which includes contributions from RZIM’s global team. His latest books are a graphic novel version of The Lamb and the Fuhrer (Kingstone Media: June 2014) and Why Suffering?, coauthored with Vince Vitale and released by FaithWords in October 2014. Several of his books have been translated into Russian, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Spanish, and other languages.

Ravi has appeared on CNN, Fox, and other international broadcasts. His weekly radio program, “Let My People Think,” airs on 2152 outlets worldwide, his weekday program, “Just Thinking,” on 721, and his one-minute “Just a Thought,” on 488. Various broadcasts are also translated into Romanian and Turkish, and “Let My People Think” airs as the Spanish-language program “Pensemos” on over 250 outlets in sixteen countries. Additionally, his television program, “Let My People Think,” is broadcast internationally in several countries including Indonesia. RZIM is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with additional ofces in Canada, India, Singapore, the , the Middle East, Hong Kong, Romania, Turkey, Austria, Spain, and South Africa. Dr. Zacharias and his wife, Margie, have three grown children. They reside in Atlanta.

Andy Bannister

Dr. Andy Bannister is the Director and Lead Apologist for RZIM Canada. He speaks and teaches regularly throughout Canada, the US, Europe, and the wider world. From churches to universities, business forums to TV and radio, Andy regularly addresses both Christian audiences and those of all and none on issues relating to , culture, politics, and society.

With a background in youth ministry before studying theology and philosophy (focusing especially on Islam), Andy was previously based in Oxford, where he worked with churches and organizations across the denominational spectrum. http://rzimacademy.org/lecturers/ 1/9 11/27/2017 Lecturers | RZIM Academy Andy holds a PhD in Islamic studies, a topic on which he has taught extensively. He has spoken and taught at universities across Canada, the US, the UK, and farther aeld on both Islam and philosophy and is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Islam and Other Faiths at School of Theology.

Andy is the author of An Oral-Formulaic Study of the Qur’an, a groundbreaking and innovative study that reveals many of the ways the Qur’an was rst composed. His latest book, The Atheist Who Didn’t Exist (or: The Terrible Consequences of Really Bad Arguments), is a humorous engagement with the .

When not traveling, speaking, or writing, Andy is a keen hiker, mountain climber, and photographer. He lives in Toronto and is married to Astrid; they have two children, Caitriona and Christopher.

Jill Carattini

Jill Carattini is managing editor and principal writer of A Slice of Innity, a daily reading considering themes from theology and culture to philosophy and the arts. She holds a degree in religion from Hope College, a masters of divinity from Western Theological Seminary, and a Th.M from Duke University, where she studied sacramental theology and the arts. Jill is ordained as a specialized minister in the Reformed Church of America, where she serves on the theology commission.

She is a frequent speaker and panelist on the subject of theology and the arts, teaches workshops in creative writing, and is leading the charge in RZIM’s growing emphasis on the arts and imagination as a critical means to engage contemporary culture with the person of Christ. Jill has lived and worked in diverse ministry settings, including urban ministry and university campus ministry.

She has spent time in a Native American community working within a local mission church in Oklahoma, and has studied in the Middle East, participating in a program aimed at understanding the culture, history, and politics of the Middle Eastern conict. She enjoys reading widely in areas of theology, aesthetics, culture, and reconciliation. Among her favorite writers are John Calvin, Jeremy Begbie, Flannery O’Connor, Marilynn Robinson, Wendell Berry, and many of the early church pilgrims, though an early love of the writings of C.S. Lewis was most formative in her own faith and writing. Jill is a native of Pentwater, Michigan, and currently resides with her husband, Tony, and their son in Atlanta, Georgia.

John Dickson

John Dickson is co-director of Centre for Public Christianity, an independent research and media organization promoting the public understanding of the Christian faith. With a degree in theology from Moore Theological College and a doctorate in ancient history from Macquarie University, he is a senior research fellow of the Department of Ancient History, Macquarie University, where he teaches courses on Christian origins and the world religions. John is also the Senior Minister at St. Andrews Roseville, an innovative Anglican community on Sydney’s North Shore. He has a wealth of experience as a local church pastor, public evangelist, and media presenter. He is the author of more than a dozen books and the host of two major television documentaries on the life of Jesus. He lives in Sydney with his wife, Elizabeth, and their three children.

Sharon Dirckx

Sharon Dirckx (pronounced ‘Dirix’) is an Academic Tutor at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. Originally from a scientic background she has a PhD in brain imaging from the and has held research positions at the and in the US. During its founding year in 2004/5, Sharon graduated from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. She has since been invited to speak and lecture in a variety of contexts and has also appeared on BBC Songs of Praise, Premier Christian Radio and BBC Radio 2 Good Morning Sunday with Clare Balding. Her topics of interest include the interface between science and faith, and suffering. Her Why?: Looking at God, Evil and Personal Sufferingwon the prize for best book at the 2014 Speaking Volumes UK Christian Book Awards (presented by Pam Rhodes). Why?interweaves the stories of people who have suffered, with a practical look at some ‘Why?’ questions on suffering. Sharon lives in Oxford with her husband and two young children.

Os Guinness

Os Guinness is an author, a social critic, and member of the RZIM speaking team. Great-great-great grandson of Arthur Guinness, the Dublin brewer, he was born in China in World War Two where his parents were medical missionaries. A witness to the climax of the Chinese revolution in 1949, he was expelled with many other foreigners in 1951 and returned to Europe where he was educated in England. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of London and his DPhil in the social sciences from Oriel College, Oxford.

Os has written or edited more than thirty books, including The Call, Time for Truth, Long Journey Home, Unspeakable, A Free People’s Suicide, The Global Public Square, and Renaissance. His latest book is Fool’s Talk: Recovering the Art of Christian Persuasion, which was published by InterVarsity Press in June 2015. http://rzimacademy.org/lecturers/ 2/9 11/27/2017 Lecturers | RZIM Academy Before moving to the United States in 1984, Os was a freelance reporter with the BBC. Since then he has been a Guest Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Studies, a Guest Scholar and Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution, and Senior Fellow at the Trinity Forum and the EastWest Institute in New York. From 1986 to 1989, Os served as Executive Director of the Williamsburg Charter Foundation, a bicentennial celebration of the First Amendment. In this position he helped to draft “The Williamsburg Charter” and later “The Global Charter of Conscience,” which was published at the European Union Parliament in 2012. Os has spoken at dozens of the world’s major universities and spoken widely to political and business conferences on many issues, including religious freedom, across the world. He is currently a senior fellow at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics and lives with his wife, Jenny, in the Washington, DC, area.

Christian Hofreiter

The Revd Dr Christian Hofreiter is RZIM Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and a Research Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA). A native of Austria, he has studied, lived and worked in Innsbruck, Brussels, London, Los Angeles, Washington, DC and Oxford, and is now based in , Austria.

From 2008-2012, Christian served with the Oxford Pastorate as a chaplain to the graduate student body at Oxford University, working closely with senior academics, leaders of various churches and a broad variety of students. An ordained Anglican minister, he was also a member of the leadership team at St Aldates church, Oxford.

In addition, Christian studied theology at Oxford University, earning three degrees (MA, MSt, DPhil), winning several prizes and scholarships, and gaining the top rst class award in 2008. His doctoral research focused on the Christian interpretation of “genocide texts” in the Old Testament.

Before arriving in Oxford, Christian worked in a government relations rm in Washington, DC, representing the interests of foreign governments and other clients to the United States Congress and Administration, and also served as deacon at the Church of the Resurrection on Capitol Hill.

Prior to that, Christian worked in Austria as a freelance interpreter and as a lecturer in translation at the University of Innsbruck, where he had previously completed Master’s degrees in translation and interpreting. He also studied intercultural communication at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA, and wrote his translation Master’s thesis under the supervision of biblical translation theorist Eugene A. Nida.

Christian is married to Helen, who is from England, and they have two small children, Hannah and Samuel. Christian loves the mountains, especially those of his native Tyrol, and he and Helen share a passion to contribute to the re-evangelisation of Europe.

John Lennox

John Lennox is Professor of Mathematics in the University of Oxford and Emeritus Fellow in Mathematics and the Philosophy of Science. He is also an adjunct Lecturer at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford and at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics, as well as being a Senior Fellow of the Trinity Forum. In addition, he is an Associate Fellow of the Said Business School, Oxford University, and teaches for the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme.

Prof Lennox studied at the Royal School , and was Exhibitioner and Senior Scholar at Emmanuel College, Cambridge University from which he took his MA, MMath and PhD. He worked for many years in the Mathematics Institute at the University of in , which awarded him a DSc for his research. He also holds a DPhil from Oxford University and an MA in Bioethics from the . Prof Lennox was a Senior Alexander Von Humboldt Fellow at the Universities of Wuerzburg and Freiburg in Germany.

In addition to over seventy published mathematical papers, he is the co-author of two research level texts in algebra in the Oxford Mathematical Monographs series. He is interested in the interface between science, philosophy and theology and his books on those topics include God’s Undertaker: Has Science Buried God?, God and Stephen Hawking, and Gunning for God. His most recent title is Against the Flow: The Inspiration of Daniel in an Age of Relativism. Prof Lennox has lectured extensively in , Eastern and Western Europe on mathematics, the philosophy of science and the intellectual defence of Christianity. His hobbies include languages, amateur astronomy, bird-watching and some walking. John is married to Sally and they live near Oxford. They have three grown up children and seven grandchildren.

Stuart McAllister

Born in Scotland, Stuart McAllister saw his life changed by Christ at the early age of twenty. Filled with a hunger to learn more and deepen his understanding of the faith led him to join Operation Mobilization in 1978. He worked with the organization for 20 years in Vienna, Austria, and his service took him to Yugoslavia, where he was imprisoned for forty days for distributing Christian literature. Upon his release, he continued to preach in communist countries, resulting in more imprisonments.

With a rich history of service, Stuart has acted as general secretary of the European Evangelical Alliance (1992-1998) and been involved with the European Lausanne Committee. He developed a mobilization movement called “Love Europe,” which sent several thousand team members across http://rzimacademy.org/lecturers/ 3/9 11/27/2017 Lecturers | RZIM Academy Europe with the message of the Christian faith. Stuart also founded the European Roundtable, bringing together a diverse group of ministries and interests that collaborated to foster “Hope for Europe.”

Stuart joined Ravi Zacharias International Ministries in 1998 as the International Director and today serves as Regional Director, Americas. With a heavy travel schedule that takes him all over the globe, Stuart speaks in churches, universities, and other forums with the same passion he rst knew as a follower of Christ. Stuart has been a lecturer at Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, New York, where he was awarded a Doctor of Divinity. Additionally, he has been a featured speaker several times at the European Leadership Forum.

Stuart is a frequent contributor to A Slice of Innity, RZIM’s daily reading on issues of apologetics and philosophy, Just Thinking, the ministry’s quarterly journal, as well as Engage, a magazine published quarterly by RZIM Educational Trust. He has also contributed chapters in the books Beyond Opinion (Thomas Nelson, 2007) and Global Missiology for the 21st Century (World Evangelical Fellowship, 2000).

Alister McGrath

Alister McGrath is the Andreos Idreos Professor of Science and Religion at the University of Oxford, as well as the President of the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA). His previous posts include being Professor of Theology and Education at King’s College, London, and Professor of Historical Theology at Oxford University.

McGrath gained rst class honours from Oxford University in Chemistry (1975) and rst class honours in Theology (1978). He holds an Oxford DPhil (1978) for his research in molecular biology, a DD from Oxford University’s Faculty of Theology for his work in historical and systematic theology (2001), and a DLitt from Oxford University’s Division of Humanities for his research in science and religion (2013). He was elected FRSA in 2005, in recognition of his work as a public intellectual. A former atheist, he has established a reputation as one of the leading apologists for Christianity, as well as one of the world’s most respected Christian theologians. His many books include a new highly acclaimed biography of CS Lewis, a series of market-leading textbooks in Christian theology, and some best-selling books engaging with the “New Atheism”.

Abdu Murray

Abdu Murray is North American Director with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries and is the author of two books, including his latest, Grand Central Question: Answering the Critical Concerns of the Major Worldviews. For most of his life, Abdu was a proud Muslim who studied the Qur’an and Islam. After a nine year investigation into the historical, philosophical, and scientic underpinnings of the major world religions and views, Abdu discovered that the historic Christian faith alone can answer the questions of the mind and the longings of the heart.

Abdu has spoken to diverse international audiences and has participated in debates and dialogues across the globe. He has appeared as a guest on numerous radio and televisions programs all over the world and hosts Embrace the Truth with Abdu Murray, a radio show heard on WLQV AM 1500 in Detroit and worldwide on the internet and podcast.

Abdu holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. As an attorney, Abdu was named several times in Best Lawyers in America and Michigan Super Lawyer. Abdu is the Scholar in Residence of Christian Thought and Apologetics at the Josh McDowell Institute of Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

Abdu lives in the Detroit area with his wife and their three children.

John Njoroge

John is a member of the speaking team at Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. He speaks frequently on university campuses, churches, and conferences around the world. His passion is to help clear the fog between the academy and the local church by making the case for the credibility of the gospel of Jesus Christ in a winsome and persuasive manner.

He is a summa cum laude graduate of Talbot School of Theology where he earned a master’s degree in philosophy, a master’s degree in New Testament studies, and a master of theology. While at Talbot, he also served as a graduate teaching assistant and an adjunct faculty member.

John is the host of the African versions of RZIM’s radio programs Let My People Think and Just Thinking, which are heard in several countries across the African continent. He is in the process of completing a PhD in philosophy at the University of Georgia. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Leah, and their two boys, Jonathan and Benjamin.

Amy Orr-Ewing

Amy Orr-Ewing is EMEA Director for RZIM, and Director of Programmes for the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA).

She gained a rst class degree in Theology at Christ Church, Oxford University, before receiving a Master’s in Theology from King’s College London. She is currently working on her Doctoral Thesis at Oxford University looking at the work of Dorothy L Sayers.

Amy has written two books exploring key questions in apologetics: Why Trust the Bible? and But Is It Real?. Her most recent publication is Millennials, which she co-authored with her husband Frog. They have also published Holy Warriors: A Fresh Look at the Face of Extreme Islam and Deep. She has contributed to the books Beyond Opinion, God and the Generations and Worth Knowing: Wisdom for Women.

Amy speaks and lectures on Christian Apologetics worldwide, at events such as Keswick and Alpha International, and on University campuses including Oxford, Cambridge, Vienna, and Hong Kong. Amy has been invited to speak in the White House, and on Capitol Hill, as well as the Speakers Rooms in the UK Parliament. Amy and her husband Frog lead a church in Buckinghamshire called Latimer Minster, which they planted in 2010.

Frog Orr-Ewing

Frog Orr-Ewing is the Chaplain and Missioner at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA). Frog became the youngest incumbent in the country as vicar of All Saints church in Peckham after a curacy at St Aldates Church in Oxford. Despite Peckham’s many challenges, over seven years the congregation witnessed marked growth and breakthroughs in community engagement and mission, and now numbers several hundred with youth and childrens activities to about 1000 children in the local area. Frog and his wife, Amy, were sent with the Blessing of the Peckham congregation on Pentecost in May 2010 to plant Latimer Minster.

Tom Price

Tom Price is an Academic Tutor at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics and an apologist for RZIM. He studied Philosophy at university and later completed an MA in Christian Apologetics.

In recent years Tom has spoken at universities and churches in Hong Kong, Europe, South Africa, USA and other places across the world. In the UK, he has provided teaching for major conferences such as Keswick, Spring Harvest and BMS Catalyst. He lectures for HTB School of Theology and is regularly involved in outreach alongside OICCU and other Christian Unions. Additionally, Tom has written for various media outlets and has appeared on Premier Christian Radio’s ‘Unbelievable?’.

He was previously the Founding Editor of UCCF’s website bethinking.org. Tom is interested in worldview, culture, theology, missiology, apologetics and philosophy of religion broadly. He is passionate about mission that engages with where people really are and the serious questions and objections they have about religious beliefs. Tom is married to Caroline, has young children, and they live in Oxford.

Nabeel Qureshi

Dr. Nabeel Qureshi is a global speaker and the author of three books, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus: A Devout Muslim Encounters Christianity (Zondervan, February 2014), Answering Jihad: A Better Way Forward (Zondervan, March 2016), and No God But One—Allah or Jesus (Zondervan, August 2016).

Raised as a devout Muslim in the United States, Qureshi grew up studying Islamic apologetics with his family and engaging Christians in religious discussions. After one such discussion with a Christian at his university, the two became friends and began a years-long debate on the historical claims of Christianity and Islam. Nabeel’s resulting journey was chronicled in his rst book, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus. In addition to being a New York Timesbestseller, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus was awarded the Christian Book Award for the categories of both “Best New Author” and “Best Non- Fiction” of 2015. Christianity Today heralded Qureshi as one of “33 Under 33” in its cover story on emerging religion leaders in July 2014.

Qureshi has lectured to students at more than 100 universities, including Oxford, Columbia, Dartmouth, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, and the University of Hong Kong. He has participated in 18 moderated, public debates around North America, Europe, and Asia.

Nabeel Qureshi holds an MD from Eastern Virginia Medical School, an MA in Christian apologetics from Biola University, and an MA in religion from Duke University. He is currently studying Judaism and Christianity at Oxford, pursuing his doctorate in New Testament Studies. He divides his time in Atlanta and Oxford with his wife and baby daughter.

Michael Ramsden

Michael Ramsden is the International Director of RZIM and has been part of RZIM since its foundation in Europe in 1997. Michael is also joint Director of the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. Michael was brought up in the Middle East and later moved to England where he worked for the Lord Chancellor’s department investing funds. http://rzimacademy.org/lecturers/ 5/9 11/27/2017 Lecturers | RZIM Academy While doing research in Law and Economics at Shefeld University, he taught Moral Philosophy and lectured for the International Seminar for Jurisprudence and Human Rights in Strasbourg. He has also been a Professor-in-Residence at the Wolfsberg Executive Institute in Switzerland. Michael has been invited to lecture in various settings including the White House in Washington DC and has in the past addressed leaders at NATO HQ in Brussels, Members of the European Parliament, as well as bankers and investment managers on the current global nancial crisis. Michael is also involved in a number of initiatives to equip and train emerging leaders and evangelists around the world. Michael lives in Oxford with his wife, Anne, and their three children.

Nathan Rittenhouse

Nathan Rittenhouse is an OCCA Fellow with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. He was graduated from Bridgewater College in Virginia with a double major in Physics and Philosophy and Religion, and a minor in Mathematics before attending the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. He is currently studying at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, MA.

Nathan has interests in topics of science and religion, church history, and systematic theology. He grew up in an active church and Christian family and developed an enthusiasm for Christ that has intensied with his academic studies. As a student, Nathan refreshed his mind by running track and cross-country and continues to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities with his wife and kids.

Nathan is based outside of Boston and travels and speaks throughout New England in universities and churches.

Margaret Manning Shull

Margaret Manning Shull joined the RZIM Speaking and Writing Team in 2007 after having served as a pastor for over seven years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Agnes Scott College before going on to earn her Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Her pastoral ministry focused on teaching, discipleship, spiritual formation, and pastoral care and counseling. Her research interests include topics in philosophical theology, world religions, science and faith, human sexuality, and theology in the arts.

Passionate about communicating the gospel in ways that engage both heart and mind, Margaret’s pastoral ministry grounds her speaking and writing in a relational and practical style. Margaret seeks to address the critical intersections between the Christian faith and lived experience in order to engage Christians and non-Christians in conversations that count.

In her free time, Margaret enjoys travel, gardening, hiking, cycling, running, and taking care of her menagerie of pets. She currently lives in Bellingham, WA, with her husband, David.

Michelle Tepper

Michelle Tepper is an itinerant speaker for RZIM in the US, teaching worldwide on a number of subjects, including the problem of pain, God’s character, sex, relationships, and love.

Since 2011, Michelle has been speaking overseas as a part of the RZIM European team and as a guest lecturer at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. Prior to joining the RZIM staff, Michelle worked for six years as the University Chaplain for St. Aldate’s—a thriving, historic, student friendly church located in the heart of Oxford.

Michelle has strong ties to Oxford since she met and married her husband there while studying abroad at Oxford University, during which she nished her bachelor’s degree in political science from Stetson University. Michelle then went on to pursue further studies in theology at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA) and was part of the OCCA’s rst graduating class.

Following God’s call to move back to the States and support the local church while serving with RZIM, Michelle and her husband, Peter, have relocated to Florida with their daughter, Sophia.

Jo Vitale

Jo Vitale received a rst class degree in Theology at the University of Oxford and was twice recipient of the University’s Gibbs Prize for her examination results. Jo then completed a University of Oxford Masters in Biblical Interpretation (M.St) before being awarded an Arts and Humanities Research Council Scholarship for doctoral studies.

She is currently using the award for doctoral studies at the University of Oxford on the topic of “Women and Beauty in the Old Testament”.

She has recently been involved in leading missions to the universities of Leeds and York. Jo and her husband Vince worship at St Aldate’s Church in Oxford, where she serves on the leadership team for student ministry.

Vince Vitale

Vince Vitale is a speaker for the Zacharias Trust and Team Director and Senior Tutor at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. He is also Tutor in Philosophy and Mission at Wycliffe Hall and a member of the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford. Before coming to Oxford, Vince taught in the Philosophy and Religion Departments of his alma mater, Princeton University, where as an undergraduate he took an unexpected journey that led him to put his trust in God. While teaching at Princeton, Vince served as Faculty Director of the campus ministry Athletes in Action.

Vince’s primary research interests are in philosophy of religion, philosophical theology, and ethical theory, areas that converge in his doctoral thesis on ‘the ’. He and Ravi Zacharias have co-authored the book Why Suffering? Finding Meaning and Comfort When Life Doesn’t Make Sense.

Currently, Vince’s research focuses on theodicy, ontological arguments, theories of atonement, and a number of issues in Christian ethics. For his work on Kierkegaard, Inter-Varsity Press and Tyndale House have recently awarded him the title IVP Young Philosopher of Religion of the Year 2013. Vince also has an interest in the intersection of faith and sport. He played varsity soccer at Princeton, was a “double Blue” at Oxford (competing for the University in football and boxing), and has travelled with Athletes in Action mission teams to four continents.

Vince speaks about the Christian Faith and takes Q&A regularly on university campuses, especially in Britain and America. He and his wife Jo live in Oxford and worship at St. Aldates Church.

Tanya Walker

Tanya Walker is an Apologist for RZIM Europe and a guest lecturer at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA). Her undergraduate degree was in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Christ Church, Oxford University, and she holds an MA in Islamic Studies and a PhD which considers the implications of Islamic law in the West (both from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London). Tanya co-leads the Evangelists Network for the European Leadership Forum, and the RZIM Europe training weekends. She has been invited to address a range of groups and contexts, including the Parliamentary Forum on Religious Freedom in Ottowa and the Global Church Forum arising from the Lausanne Congress, as well as university missions and church groups. Tanya is married to Toby and they are based in Oxford.

Naomi Zacharias

Naomi Zacharias was graduated from Wheaton College with a BA in Business/Economics. After working in sales for Coca-Cola, she joined the staff of RZIM. She accepted a fulltime internship in the Ofce of Public Liaison at The White House and returned to RZIM to help launch Wellspring International, an initiative devoted to providing nancial grants to international efforts working with at-risk women and children. Naomi has visited with women in red-light districts across Europe and Asia; foster homes for children affected by HIV/AIDS throughout Asia and Africa; displacement camps in Uganda and areas of the Middle East offering aid to Iraqi refugees; areas devastated by natural disaster; and international shelters for victims of human trafcking and domestic violence.

In 2004, Naomi authored a chapter on women and education in Zealous Love: A Practical Guide to Social Justice, published by Zondervan. In Real Women, Real Faith (DVD Volumes 1 &2), Naomi is one of six speakers leading sessions on Old and New Testament female Bible characters. Her rst book, The Scent of Water: Grace for Every Kind of Broken, was released by Zondervan in 2011. She has also contributed two essays included in the recently released NIV Bible for Women: Fresh Insights for Thriving in Today’s World,published by Zondervan in 2015.

Naomi and her husband, Drew, currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
