Les auteurs ont mesuré ou calculé 33 paramètres biométriques chez 133 mâles, et 28 paramètres chez 136 femelles d’Aiolopus groupe thalassinus provenant du domaine paléarctique occidental. Des analyses en composantes principales et des dia- grammes de dispersion ont été établis, qui permettent de préciser les caractères distinctif d’A. puissanti Defaut par rapport à A. tha- lassinus (F.), et de proposer une nouvelle sous-espèce d’A. thalassinus en Corse. The authors measured or calculated 33 biometric parameters in 133 males, and 28 parameters in 136 females of Aiolopus group thalassinus coming from the Western palearctic region. Principal component analyses and scatter diagrams were established, which make it possible to specify the characters distinctive of A. puissanti Defaut compared to A. thalassinus (F.), and to propose a new subspecies of A. thalassinus for Corsica. Geographical distribution maps of the two species are presented. Key Words. Aiolopus strepens est un criquet thermophile à répartition méridionale qui affectionne une large gamme de milieux dans le Sud de la France. Jusqu’en 2010, il est considéré rare en Deux-Sèvres et non connu du Massif armoricain. Depuis, la mise en place d’un atlas régional en Poitou-Charentes a suscité un certain engouement. Aiolopus strepens est désormais connu du Sud des Deux-Sèvres, où il est assez commun, au Nord, où il est plus rare. Suite à nos constats, nous pouvons probablement avancer que l'espèce s'est installée sur des sites où elle n'était pas connue avant 2016. Ceci met en avant une expansion actuelle de l’espèce vers le nord de la France comme en témoigne les observations dans d’autres départements. Mots clés. Aiolopus strepens ; expansion ; Deux-Sèvres. Abstract. Aiolopus strepens is a thermophilic grasshopper with southern distribution occupying a wide range of habitats in the South of France. Until 2010, this species is considered rare in Deux-Sèvres and unknown in the Armorican massif. Since then, the establishment of a regional atlas of Orthoptera in Poitou-Charentes has generated a certain enthusiasm. Aiolopus strepens is now known quite common in Southern Deux-Sèvres and rarer to the North. -

Abstract-The species of grasshoppers of the superfamilies Acridoidea, Tetrigoidea, and Tridactyloidea of Micronesia are discussed with com plete data on Micronesian distribution. Two new species of Tetrigidae, Carolinotettix palauensis and Hydrotettix carolinensis, are described. Introduction Preliminary studies towards this contribution to our knowledge of the or thopteroid fauna of Micronesia are in an unpublished thesis by the third author (English 1978). Over the years, a considerable amount of additional information has been accumulated and two relevant papers published by the first author. In ad dition, there is a paper by the first author, in press, that deals with non-saltatorial orthopteroids. The first of the above publications (Kevan 1987) gives a preliminary survey of virtually all of the saltatorial orthopteroids (grigs) known to occur in Micronesia, as well as defining the limits of the region and giving a brief review of the relevant literature on the insects concerned. It also discusses some important points relating to the nomenclature of some of them. The second publication (Kevan 1990) is concerned with the same groups of insects, but confines its attention, more or less, to known or suspected introduced species (including Acridoidea) and their probable origins. A few non-saltatorial or thopteroids are also mentioned in passing. 2 Another paper (Kevan unpublished ) deals very fully with all groups of or thopteroids other than members of the saltatorial orders (termites and earwigs in cluded), mainly as recorded in the literature, which is extensively reviewed. -

Although female-biased 16 SSD predominates among insects, the proximate ecological and evolutionary factors promoting 17 this phenomenon remain largely unstudied. Here, we employ modern phylogenetic comparative 18 methods on 8 subfamilies of Iberian grasshoppers (85 species) to examine the validity of 19 different models of evolution of body size and SSD and explore how they are shaped by a suite 20 of ecological variables (habitat specialization, substrate use, altitude) and/or constrained by 21 different evolutionary pressures (female fecundity, strength of sexual selection, length of the 22 breeding season). -

Acta Musei Moraviae, Scientiae biologicae 103(2): 123–126. – Repeated findings of the slender green-winged grasshopper Aiolopus thalassinus (Fabricius) in a ruderal area of the Brno-Královo Pole suburb in July- September 2018 are presented. Orthoptera, Acrididae, faunistics, Moravia, Czech Republic The slender green-winged grasshopper Aiolopus thalassinus (Fabricius, 1781) is a widely-distributed species in the Palearctic, Afrotropical, Indomalayan, and Notogea Regions. It has been recorded for Spain (ALCÓN & LLUCIÁ-POMARES 2011), France (BONNET & PETIT 1994), Italy (FONTANA et al. 2002), Croatia (ŠERIÆ-JELASKA & SKEJO 2014, SZÖVÉNYI & PUSKÁS 2012), Germany (SEEHAUSEN 2016), Austria (LANDMANN 2017), Poland (LIANA 1994; MELCZAREK & GROBELNY 2018), Slovakia (KRIŠTÍN 2004), Hungary (KENYERES et al. 2017; SZÖVÉNYI 2018), Ukraine (PUSHKAR & STOROZHENKO 2013), and Romania (PUSKÁS 2015). It is a rare, critically endangered species in the Czech Republic, where findings from only southern Moravia (CHLÁDEK 1995, HOLUŠA 1996, HOLUŠA 2003) and the Moravian part of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands (Žïárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area, MÜCKSTEIN &VLK 2015) have been recorded. Surprisingly, this grasshopper, usually a rare species inhabiting the salt marshes, such as “Slanisko u Nesytu” National Natural Reserve (KOÈÁREK et al. 2013), has recently been found on the northern margin of the industrial city of Brno. -

Objective : A thorough knowledge of the composition of Orthopterofauna in the Mila region and establish a complete list of locust species of this region. Methods : The realization of an inventory of the locust fauna and the census of the species in three sites with different altitudes: Chigara, Sidi merouane and Sennaoua and the study of the diversity and the distribution through the tests and the ecological indices. Results : the fauna census showed the presence of twelve species belonging to two families: Pamphagidae and Acrididae Conclusion : The ecological and statistical analysis of the inventoried locusts revealed that the Sennaoua site is the most diversified. Azonal vegetation, a much forgotten component of the CFR, is a unique vegetation type that forms part of the riparian corridor. This is a complex, unique and diverse ecosystem with high levels of local biodiversity that connects the aquatic and terrestrial realms. The riparian corridor is highly disturbed through anthropogenic activities and invasion by alien vegetation causing deterioration of riparian corridors.
