This particular boxset takes place some time after her last on-screen adventure She's River, it's timey-wimey, who knows! Exactly this River I wanted to get to know better, space parties, ancient tombs, feminism, and cosmic freemasonry. That was so good.

Doctor Who: A Personal Voyage The second most common question I hear whenever I bring up Doctor Who is “What is Doctor Who?” (the most common one being “Who is Doctor Who?”) It’s really hard to summarize. Too few words and you don’t capture the spirit of it. Too many and you quickly alienate the newcomer. I’ve heard people describe it as “the story of an alien who travels through time and space in a box that’s bigger on the inside.” That’s great. It encapsulates the strangeness inherent in such a series. The only problem is that you shouldn’t just give all of this info to a newcomer right off the bat.

Based on Robinson's life in London in the late s, the plot follows two unemployed young actors, Withnail and "I" portrayed by Richard E. Grant and Paul McGann who live in a squalid flat in Camden Town in while squandering their finances on alcohol. Needing a holiday, they obtain the key to a country cottage in the Lake District belonging to Withnail's lecherous gay uncle Monty and drive there. The weekend holiday proves less recuperative than they expected. Withnail and I was Grant's first film and launched him into a successful career. The film has tragic and comic elements particularly farce and is notable for its period music and many quotable lines. It has been described as "one of Britain's biggest cult films". The film depicts the lives and misadventures of two unemployed young actors in late London. They are the flamboyant alcoholic Withnail and "I" named "Marwood" in the published screenplay but not in the credits as his relatively more level- headed friend and the film's narrator. Withnail comes from a privileged background and sets the tone for the friendship. They live in a filthy Georgian flat in Camden Town. Their only company at the flat is the local drug dealer, Danny. The roommates squabble about housekeeping and leave to take a walk.

Acting legend, star of cult films and the eighth Doctor Who Paul McGann, will be back in Liverpool to add his own family history and demonstrate how people can scan in diaries, letters, photos, poems, war records and birth and death certificates of loved ones who were involved in the war. School children from St Nicholas Catholic Primary School will also be attending, in advance of their trip to France, to learn more about the history of World War 1. The project lead is acclaimed historian Professor Frank McDonough, together with colleagues Dr Mike Benbough-Jackson and Dr Emma Vickers to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the Great War. “This site is exciting because it gives everyone a chance to engage in their own history,” says Professor McDonough. “It isn’t about academics writing the history of the First World War, this is about the people of Merseyside writing their own history.” Some of the initial contributions can be viewed by visiting the site at http://merseyside-at-war.org/ where you can read fascinating accounts of the lives and experiences of the men and women of Merseyside at the time.
