1. Apologies

Peter Bennett mentioned that there were a number of apologies and that they should be noted.

2. Minutes of the Last Meeting

The minutes of the 75th Annual General Meeting held on 15th May 2013, which had been circulated to all attendees, were approved. There were no matters arising.

3. President’s Report

The President read from his report, copies of which had been supplied on the night.

4. Treasurer’s Report

Alastair Vickers highlighted the main changes to Income and Expenditure. This year presented more activity with an increase in subscriptions. The offer is increased but costs are also increased to provide this. Peer Mentoring & Training are also increased this year. Worthing and Adur Chamber are in a satisfactory position due to the hard work of the exec and members. The accounts were approved. Proposed by Tony Candler and seconded by Julian Cioffi. Ayres Bright Vickers were appointed as auditors proposed by Julian Cioffi, seconded by Tony Hedger.

5. Election of Officers

Peter Bennett stood down as President of the Chamber and handed proceedings to Alastair Vickers. Great strides have been made over the past few years headed by Peter. A tremendous amount of work has been done, Peter enthuses and encourages others. A show of hands voted for Peter Bennett to continue as President for the forthcoming year.

Peter asked if all members of the committee all of whom had been nominated and seconded would be willing to serve in the forthcoming year, along with one new committee member Peter Webb, Electronic Temperature Instruments. They were proposed by Dave Bone and seconded by Betty Branagan.

6. Any Other Business

Peter thanked Tina Tilley for being the backbone and Voice of the Chamber.
