(NYSE: KAR), partnered with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) to pilot an ADESA Simulcast sale outside of the physical auction sale-day environment. As part of FCA’s inaugural national CPOV (certified preowned vehicle) dealer meeting, vehicles were launched into auction from four ADESA auction locations — ADESA Golden Gate, ADESA Indianapolis, ADESA Kansas City and ADESA Las Vegas. FCA CPO dealers attending the event were able to participate in fast, live bidding action. “We were extremely pleased to work with our strong partners at FCA to demonstrate the powerful potential of ADESA Simulcast to this sophisticated and tech savvy group of dealers,” said John Hammer, ADESA president. “ADESA Simulcast allows us to bring the auction right to our dealers — exposing sellers to a broader buyer base and helping buyers access the hard-to- find inventory they need. The legendary Lancia Stratos HF was without a doubt the most spectacular and successful rally car of the 70s. With its thrilling lines and uncompro- mising design tailored to rally use, the Stratos not only single-handedly rewrote the history of rallying, it won a permanent place in the hearts of its countless fans with its dramatic performance on the world’s asphalt and gravel tracks – a performance which included three successive world championship titles. For Michael Stoschek, a collector and driver of historic racing cars, as well as a successful entrepreneur in the automotive supply industry, the development and construction of a modern version of the Stratos represents the fulfillment of a long-held dream. Back in 2003, the dream had already begun to take on a concrete form; now, at last, it has become a reality: In November 2010, forty years after the Stratos’ presentation at the Turin Motor Show, the New Stratos will be publicly presented for the first time at the Paul Ricard Circuit. When March was sold to Leyton House, Mosley and Wirth? Both decided to leave, and joined forces to create Simtek. Originally, the company had a single office in Wirth’s house, But it was soon oBvious they needed a Bigger, more wind‐tunnel shaped Base, which they Built in Oxfordshire. (June 28, 2018) – Today, The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering has officially announced four featured classes for its 16th‐anniversary celebration on Friday, August 24, 2018. Recognizing Italian heritage and German innovation, the special selection will include “The Great Lancias,” “50th Anniversary of the Espada & Islero,” “70 Years of the Iconic Porsche 356” and “The Alois Ruf Reunion.” “The Great Lancias” class will be highlighted by notable models that exemplify the Italian manufacturer’s strong rally heritage. Key vehicles will include a 1974 Stratos HF Group IV, a 1955 Aurelia B24S and a 1988 Delta Intergrale 8V. Meanwhile, the “50th Anniversary of the Espada & Islero” class will pay tribute to two of Lamborghini's most timeless V12‐powered touring cars: the low‐production Islero GT and the 2+2 Espada that became one of Sant'Agata's best‐selling models. Half a century after both models debuted at the Geneva Motor Show, 21 of these iconic vehicles will be on display. The Quail will also celebrate German automotive history and legacy through the special “70 Years of the Iconic Porsche 356” class.
