It is a natural protected area, known due to unspoiled nature, clean springs and Vlasina Lake, which is the largest artificial lake in Serbia, located at 1.213 m a.s.l. Vlasina River has its spring under the Vlasina Lake dam and it is about 70 km long tributary of South Morava River. Because of its location in a sparsely inhabited mountain region and because of lack of industrial pollutants in this area, Vlasina is considered to be one of the cleanest Serbian rivers. We aim to introduce the relatively new, fast and cheap method of magnetic susceptibility (MS) in environmental research in Serbia, in addition to usually used geochemical and mineralogical methods. Abstract Detailed distribution pattern of colubrid snakes in Serbia is still inadequately described, despite the long historical study. In this paper, we provide accurate distribution of seven species, with previously published and newly accumulated faunistic records compiled. Comparative analysis of faunas among all Balkan countries showed that Serbian colubrid fauna is among the most distinct (together with faunas of Slovenia and Romania), due to small number of species. Zoogeographic analysis showed high chorotype diversity of Serbian colubrids: seven species belong to six chorotypes. South-eastern Serbia (Pčinja River valley) is characterized by the presence of all colubrid species inhabiting our country, and deserves the highest conservation status at the national level. -

ZAKON O ŠUMAMA ("Sl. glasnik RS", br. 30/2010, 93/2012 i 89/2015) I OSNOVNE ODREDBE Predmet zakona Član 1 Ovim zakonom ure đuje se o čuvanje, zaštita, planiranje, gajenje i koriš ćenje šuma, raspolaganje šumama i šumskim zemljištem, nadzor nad sprovo đenjem ovog zakona, kao i druga pitanja zna čajna za šume i šumsko zemljište. Primena zakona Član 2 Odredbe ovog zakona odnose se na šume i šumsko zemljište u svim oblicima svojine. Cilj zakona Član 3 Ovim zakonom obezbe đuju se uslovi za održivo gazdovanje šumama i šumskim zemljištem kao dobrom od opšteg interesa, na na čin i u obimu kojim se trajno održava i unapre đuje njihova proizvodna sposobnost, biološka raznovrsnost, sposobnost obnavljanja i vitalnost i unapre đuje njihov potencijal za ublažavanje klimatskih promena, kao i njihova ekonomska, ekološka i socijalna funkcija, a da se pri tome ne pri činjava šteta okolnim ekosistemima. Opšti interes Član 4 Očuvanje, zaštita i unapre đenje stanja šuma, koriš ćenje svih potencijala šuma i njihovih funkcija i podizanje novih šuma u cilju postizanja optimalne šumovitosti, prostornog rasporeda i strukture šumskog fonda u Republici Srbiji, jesu delatnosti od opšteg interesa. SPATIUM International Review UDK 711.455 ’’324 ‘’ (497.11) ; 502.22 (497.11) No. 20, September 2009, p. 49-52 Review paper DEGRADATION OF LANDSCAPE IN SERBIAN SKI RESORTS-ASPECTS OF SCALE AND TRANSFER OF IMPACTS Ratko Ristić 1, University of Belgrade, Faculty of Forestry, Belgrade, Serbia Nevena Vasiljević, University of Belgrade, Faculty of Forestry, Belgrade, Serbia Boris Radić, University of Belgrade, Faculty of Forestry, Belgrade, Serbia Sandra Radivojević, State Owned Company ″Ski Resorts of Serbia″, Belgrade, Serbia The environmental impacts in Serbian ski resorts (Kopaonik, Zlatibor, Stara planina, Divčibare) are very strong, leading to degradation of unique mountain landscape, and functionality losses. Processes of urbanization, construction or improvement works, cause hard degradation of topsoil and native vegetation. The logging, large excavation activities, erosion, noise and water pollution constantly impact the habitats of all animal and plant species residing in small areas. The process leads to severe fragmentation of the remaining old-growth forests, endangering future subsistence. Consequences of mismanagement in ski areas are noticeable in downstream sections of river beds, causing floods and bed-load deposition, with high concentration of pollutants, in reservoirs for water supply. Legal nature-protection standards are weakly implemented in regional ski areas. Effective protection of landscape in Serbian ski-areas is based on careful considerations of impact assessment at all levels of planning (spatial and urban planning) and designing activities, which enables application of restoration concept, in accordance with general goals of environmental protection (preserving biodiversity, CO2 sequestration, attenuation of effects of global climate changes). In this paper the author analyzes the historical, economic and social problems of the demographic reproduction of the municipality of Babušnica which is located in south-east Serbia. The problems which have been caused by demographic transition are complex and multidimensional, and have accumulated over a long period of time. Today, they are, due to the decline in villages, one of the negative factors of development not only of Babušnica but of all of south-east Serbia. This municipality is a typical example of all of the municipalities which, due to neglected population policies, find themselves in a very unfavorable position. The extreme depopulation of villages, mountain and border areas of Serbia today can only be stopped with great difficulty, and can be overturned with even more effort, with Babušnica given as an example of a town with a long tradition of economic migrations. This paper outlines the main characteristics of the demographic changes through the analysis of the census data gathered in the field. On the basis of the obtained demographic characteristics, the key problems and tendencies of development in this municipality have been outlined. INTRODUCTION The municipality of Babušnica is located in south-east Serbia, encompasses 53 vil- lages and covers an overall area of 53.213 acres.
