ST PETER’S NIGHTCLIFF Women’s Multicultural Dinner

n a lovely dry season evening last month, St Peter’s Anglican Church Ohosted a women’s multicultural dinner in the rectory garden. Forty-eight women (church members and their invited friends) attended, and we were treated to a wonderful smorgasbord of homemade cuisine from people’s birth countries. We heard prayers and testimonies in other languages, and we sang ‘This is the Day’ in seven languages: Kunwinkju, Afrikaans, Spanish, Mandarin, Indonesian, Farsi and English. Joanna Kuswadi spoke from Isaiah 55 and 56. She spoke of the wonderful plan God has to gather together and bless all the nations of the world along with the ‘exiles of Israel’. We were reminded that we’re living out the fulfilment of that plan as we’ve been gathered together by Christ. Many nations. One Savior.
