Brief portrait

LGT in the A look inside the Princely Collections For more than 400 years, the Princes of have been passionate art collectors. The Princely Collections include key works of European art stretching over five centuries and are now among the world’s major private art collections. The notion of promoting fine arts for the general good enjoyed its greatest popularity during the Baroque period. The has pursued this ideal consistently down the generations. We make deliberate use of the works of art in the Princely Collections to accompany what we do. For us, they embody those values that form the basis for a successful part- nership with our clients: expertise, reliability and a long-term perspective.

Dear Reader

Welcome to LGT Private Banking. Our company is celebrating its centennial this year, and has been owned by the Princely House of Liechtenstein since 1930. As a family-managed business, we think and act long term, thus creating a stable environment for our clients and our employees. We believe strong personal relationships and mutual trust are the basis for successful collaboration that often spans generations.

When building and managing your wealth, we apply the same values and convictions that have guided the Princely Family for nearly 900 years. Our clients and employees 5

have the exclusive possibility to invest in the same invest- ment strategy as our owner family – resulting in a natural alignment of interests that is unique in private banking.

As a family-owned company, we attach particular impor- tance to sustainability and are convinced that as investors and wealth managers, we can make a meaningful contri- bution to improving the world both in terms of society and the environment.

By putting our passion and experience at your disposal, we would like to support you in your financial matters. We are therefore pleased to have the opportunity to introduce you to LGT Private Banking in this brief portrait.

Private ownership The Princely House of Liechtenstein is not only our owner, but also one of our biggest clients. Our long-standing expertise in managing the assets of the Princely Family serve as the foundation of our collaboration with our clients. We combine tried-and-tested private banking services with a supplementary offering that is tailored to these services, for example in areas such as wealth structuring for families, real estate financing and philanthropy.

A long-term approach and forward-looking focus As a family-run company, our efficient management and organizational structures enable us to make decisions swiftly and independently. We take a long-term and holistic approach, both as a company and as an investor. At the same time, we are open to innovation and make targeted use of new technologies for the benefit of our clients.

Our commitment to sustainability We are committed to the sustainable development of society and the environment at a number of levels. The sustainability quality of investments is an area that we place particular focus on. We also give our clients access to the expertise of LGT Venture Philanthropy and the offering of Lightrock, our sister company, in the growing impact investing segment. 7

Personal relationships and mutual trust are the basis for a lasting, often multi-generational collaboration with our clients. As a family-owned company, we think and act long-term, thus creating a stable environment for clients and employees. Thanks to our experience in managing the wealth of the Princely Family of Liechtenstein, we have exten- sive knowledge in building, preserving and the transfer of substantial wealth. We place particular focus on supporting our clients in making their investments more sustainable.

Comprehensive advice We provide each client with a personal relationship manager who engages in a regular dialog with them. Together with

our specialists, we develop investment solutions that are specifically tailored to the personal situation, financial goals and risk capacity of each individual client. In addition to investments, we also support our clients with holistic wealth planning and offer them a range of financing options that are aligned with their financial situation.

Optimal implementation Our clients can select from a range of advisory and port- folio management mandates based on their specific needs. In the case of advisory mandates, we provide clients with investment proposals which they can use to make informed investment decisions. If a client opts for a portfolio manage- ment mandate, we invest their assets in accordance with the strategy we develop with them. They receive detailed reports from us, and their relationship manager regularly discusses their asset performance with them.

Systematic investment process LGT’s portfolio managers strive to preserve and build the assets entrusted to them over the long term. The over- riding goal is to achieve an attractive, ongoing balance between risk and return. To do this, we follow a systematic and disciplined investment process according to which we broadly diversify assets and manage them in a risk-efficient and sustainable manner.

Access to specific expertise Our clients and employees have the exclusive possibility of investing in the same investment strategy as the Princely Family of Liechtenstein. This results in a natural alignment of interests between clients, employees and the owner. One of the features of the Princely Strategy is the compar- atively high share of alternative assets. Thanks to our close cooperation with LGT Capital Partners and Lightrock, our clients benefit from access to unique expertise in alterna- tive investments as well as co-investment opportunities in and impact investments.

We want to create sustainable value for our clients, our company, society and the environment, as well as contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Responsibility as an investor We systematically avoid investments that pose significant environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and are a signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Banking. We offer our private clients portfolio management mandates with a focus on sustainability, as well as a range of sustain- able funds. In addition, with the LGT Sustainability Rating, we support them in making their portfolio socially and environmentally sustainable.

Doing business sustainably

By 2025, we aim to reduce our global CO2 emissions by 20 percent per employee compared to 2017. LGT adheres to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, and we require our suppliers to do the same.

Solutions to global challenges Poverty, climate change and environmental disasters are among the greatest challenges of our time. With the two complementary approaches of impact investing and philan- thropy, we want to contribute to solving these problems.
