Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. …12You are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. 13Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.

Prayer of Confession Dear Heavenly Father, we lower our heads before you and we confess that we have too often forgotten that we are yours. We ask for your help, your power, your Spirit, so that we can amend our lives and grow more each day into the image of Christ. Sometimes we carry on our lives as if there was no God and we fall short of being a credible witness to you. For these things we ask your forgiveness. Give us clear minds and open hearts so we may witness to you in our world. Remind us to be who you would have us to be regardless of what we are doing or who we are with. Hold us to you and build our relationship with you and with those you have given us on earth. Amen.

Song of Assurance ”We Can Trust Him (Psalm 33:4)” Group VBS If there’s one thing we can count on, It’s that God will never let us down, and We can trust everything he does. He keeps his promises. We know because Yeah, the Word of the Lord holds true. We can trust him! We can trust him! Yeah, the Word of the Lord holds true. We can trust him! We can trust him! Yeah! Repeat all. 2nd time - repeat chorus.

VBS Presentation Theme Song “Your Power Will Pull Us Through” Group VBS We trust, we trust, we trust in you, Jesus. You’re all, you’re all, you’re all that we need. Your power will pull us through. We’re trusting in you! We’re trusting in you! You give us hope and life that’s forever. You make us bold, and we stand together. Your power will pull us through. We’re trusting in you! We’re trusting in you! We’re off on this journey; there’s no looking back. With Jesus to lead us, we’re on the right track. Ohh, ohh. Wide open spaces for wide open eyes. We’re looking ahead for the next big surprise. Ohh, ohh. First time - repeat all 3 verses. Next time - repeat first 2 verses. Your power will pull us through. We’re trusting in you! We’re trusting in you! We’re trusting in you! We’re trusting in you!

Day 1 Jesus’ power helps us to do hard things. For I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength. ~Philippians 4:13 Ananias helps Saul. Song: “Everywhere I Go” Everywhere I go on this road, high and low, Where I go, I go with you. So I won’t be afraid, this my hope, come what may, Where I go, I go with you. Where I go, I go with you. There’s a Spirit I cannot contain. There’s a Spirit I cannot contain. The same power that raised Jesus up from the grave, There’s a Spirit I cannot contain. Everywhere I go on this road, high and low, Where I go, I go with you. So I won’t be afraid, this my hope, come what may, Where I go, I go with you. Ohh-oh, oh, ohh-oh-oh, where I go, I go with you. Ohh-oh, oh, ohh-oh-oh, where I go, I go with you. Breath upon these bones, Your fire in my soul. Your kingdom is my home, And I don’t walk alone. Everywhere I go on this road, high and low, Where I go, I go with you. So I won’t be afraid, this my hope, come what may, Where I go, I go with you. Everywhere I go on this road, high and low, Where I go, I go with you. So I won’t be afraid, this my hope, come what may, Where I go, I go with you. Where I go, I go with you. Where I go, I go with you.

Day 2 Jesus’ power gives us hope. So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord! ~Psalm 31:24 Paul encourages others in a storm and shipwreck. Song: “Power Shuffle” I feel it in the air right now. It’s all around, I see it everywhere. It’s the power, yeah, God’s power. It’s the power to move any star. It’s the power to heal your broken heart. It’s the power, yeah, God’s power. So don’t hold back, no, don’t hold still. ’Cause God is here, and he is real. Take four steps to the left, to the left. 1, 2, 3, 4. Turn it around and move to the right. 1, 2, 3. Now take tiny little jumps, four to the front. 1, 2, 3, 4. Four jumps back, but you better look back. **** 1, 2, 3, 4. Now freeze, and everybody clap your hands. Now stop. Repeat through **** Let’s do it all again right now. Take four steps to the left, to the left. 1, 2, 3, 4. Turn it around and move to the right. 1, 2, 3. Now take tiny little jumps, four to the front. 1, 2, 3, 4. Four jumps back, but you better look back. 1, 2, 3, 4. Now freeze, and everybody clap your hands. Now stop.

Day 3 Jesus’ power helps us be bold. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. ~Isaiah 40:29 Peter and John teach about Jesus. Song: “Lions” Today we live, today we breathe, Today we know that we are strong when we are weak. Today we trust, we overcome, Take every chain that kept us slaves and throw ’em off. We’re not waiting for permission. We defy our inhibition, Like our middle name is “fearless,” unafraid. If we’re gonna fly, we fly like eagles, arms out wide. If we’re gonna fear, we fear no evil. We will rise. By your power, we will go. By your Spirit, we are bold. If we’re gonna stand, we stand as giants. If we’re gonna walk, we walk as lions. Ohh, ohh, ohh, oh. Repeat all. Ohh, ohh, ohh, oh.

Day 4 Jesus’ power lets us live forever. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. ~Romans 8:11 Jesus’ death and resurrection Song: “The Old Rugged Cross On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross, The emblem of suffering and shame. And I love that old cross where the dearest and best For a world of lost sinners was slain. So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross Till my trophies at last I lay down. And I will cling to the old rugged cross And exchange it some day for a crown. Repeat all. And I will cling to the old rugged cross And exchange it some day for a crown.

Song “In You Alone” God of heaven and earth, you are amazing. You hold me up with your hand, you give me faith, And I will put my hope in you alone, in you alone. Repeat I will put my hope in you, Lord. You alone are everything I need. My hope is in you alone, in you alone. Repeat x 3 God of heaven and earth, you are amazing. You hold me up with your hand, you give me faith, And I will put my hope in you alone, in you alone. Repeat

Day 5 Jesus’ power helps us be good friends. Group VBS Love each other in the same way I have loved you. ~John 15:12 The church is united. Song: “The Same Power” The same power that rose Jesus from the grave, The same power that commands the dead to wake lives in us, lives in us. The same power that moves mountains when he speaks, The same power that can calm a raging sea lives in us, lives in us. He lives in us, lives in us. We have hope that his promises are true. In his strength, there is nothing we can’t do. Yes, we know there are greater things in store. We will not be overtaken. We will not be overcome. Repeat first 2 verses x 2. He lives in us, lives in us.

Pastor’s Prayer and Lord’s Prayer

VBS Song: “Power in the Blood” Group VBS Ohh, ohh, ohh Would you do service for Jesus your King? There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood. Would you live daily his praises to sing? There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood. There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r In the blood of the Lamb; There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r In the precious blood of the Lamb. Repeat all. There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r In the precious blood of the Lamb.) Ohh, ohh, ohh

Benediction: May God bless you with eyes to see His goodness and power even in the difficult times of your life and may you be blessed with courage so that you can share your story to help others know of His goodness and power in their lives. May God also bless you with compassion and forgiveness, so you might see the needs of others and share His goodness and power with them. Amen.
