Tsukasa Hojo ( 北条 司 , Hōjō Tsukasa ? , born on March 5, 1959, in Kitakyushu, Japan) is a Japanese mangaka . [1] He studied technical design while still at Kyushu Sangyo University, where he began to draw manga. He worked on several one-shot stories before releasing his serialized works: Cat's Eye , City Hunter and Angel Heart . Hojo claims that he really did not have any inspiration for these works other than having to meet a deadline. He says he wrote down a few things, he thought about a few things, and one day the ideas just came to him, out of thin air. In reality, the process was a lot more complicated, with editors involved, but fans got the benefit of Hojo's sense of adventure and humor. After the success of Cat's Eye and City Hunter , Hojo went on to work on other series such as Family Compo . His current ongoing series is Angel Heart , a spinoff of City Hunter set in an alternate universe. It has been serialized in the Weekly Comic Bunch since 2001 and 30 collected volumes has been published so far. Tsukasa Hojo is Takehiko Inoue's mentor. Inoue worked as an assistant to Hojo during the production of City Hunter . Hojo is also a long-time acquaintance of Fist of the North Star illustrator Tetsuo Hara, who was also one of the founders of Coamix. Hojo contributed to the production Fist of the North Star: The Legends of the True Savior film series by designing the character of Reina. Hal ini terbukti saat dia merasa terpukul karena membunuh seorang lelaki yang sedang bermain bersama putri kecilnya. Operasi tersebut sukses dilakukan, tapi Glass Heart tidak mau terbangun juga. Suatu hari Glass Heart terbangun dari tidur panjangnya. Ia lalu memutuskan pergi ke Shinjuku untuk mengikuti petunjuk yang tiba-tiba muncul di pikirannya. Di Shinjuku ia pun bertemu dengan Ryo Saeba yang dikenal sebagai ‘City Hunter’. Pertemuan mereka tentu saja akan membuat perubahan bagi hidup Glass Heart ke depannya. Plot: Manga Angel Heart ini dibuka dengan adegan yang cukup mengejutkan. Bertemakan kriminal dan misteri, pasti akan menjadi manga yang disukai para penggemar cerita misteri. Namun di jilid pertama ini belum diketahui tujuan hidup Glass Heart. Glass Heart juga adalah perempuan yang penuh dengan misteri. Karena itu volume pertama ini akan sukses membuat pembaca ingin melanjutkan ke volume 2-nya. Karakter: Glass Heart: Gadis ini memiliki paras yang cantik yang membuat orang tidak akan percaya bahwa ia adalah seorang pembunuh. Karena tidak tahan lagi membunuh terus, akhirnya ia nekat bunuh diri. Namun ia berhasil hidup kembali saat sebuah organisasi rahasia melakukan operasi terhadapnya dengan memberikan sebuah jantung baru. Di kesehariannya ia seperti orang yang tidak memiliki emosi. Ryo Saeba: Pria yang dikenal juga sebagai City Hunter. Ia adalah seorang detektif ternama yang namanya tiba-tiba meredup sejak kematian tunangannya, Kaori Makimura. Ia memilih pensiun sebagai City Hunter karena kepedihannya yang ditinggal Kaori untuk selamanya. Meski begitu sifat mesumnya tidak pernah hilang, ia masih sering menggoda wanita di sekitarnya. Dua tokoh utama ini masing-masing memiliki karakter yang kuat. Ada kelebihan dan kekurangan yang cukup dijelaskan secara gamblang. Namun disitulah letak kekuatannya. Karakter abu-abu seperti ini memang selalu terlihat menarik. Visualisasi: Manga Angel Heart ini memiliki adegan kekerasan yang cukup banyak. Lalu fanservice -nya pun termasuk sering muncul. Sehingga manga ini hanya cocok dibaca mereka yang berumur 17 tahun ke atas. Kesimpulan: Mangaka Tsukasa Hojo menghadirkan sebuah manga bertema kriminal yang tokoh utamanya adalah seorang perempuan. Meski dibilang seorang pembunuh, namun tetap bisa membuat pembaca bersimpati pada tokoh utamanya. Gaya ceritanya termasuk dinamis. Ada bagian serius, humor yang buat tertawa, dan kemalangan yang akan membuat pembaca terharu. Dijamin pembaca tidak akan bosan mengikuti alur ceritanya. Review Manga Angel Heart Volume 2. O Silent Mangá é um concurso organizado pela editora japonesa Coamix, cujo processo editorial é aberto, descrito em etapas para qualquer um ter acesso e compreen- der como a editora funciona. Não foi encontrada bibliografia específica que tra- tasse especificamente da mecânica editorial em histórias em quadrinhos além dos livros regularmente mencionados nas pesquisas no Brasil, como as produções de Eisner (2013) e McCloud (1995). Dessa forma, foi estabelecida uma correlação entre mídias próximas a das histórias em quadrinhos e outras percepções sobre o que seria narrativa, um termo mais comum à área de pesquisa no Design. Sendo assim, levantamos a análise do conteúdo das histórias em quadrinhos enviadas para o concurso internacional do Silent Mangá sob a ótica desse recorte bibliográ- fico (Linden, 2017; Zapaterra, 2014; e Lupton, 2017) a fim de compreender melhor as práticas e abordagens da equipe editorial que organiza o concurso, assim como dos participantes brasileiros premiados pelo mesmo. O que foi possível observar foi reflexões acerca do que é fazer uma história em quadrinho pelo ponto de vista do designer, quais suas responsabilidades e preocupações, sobretudo com a expe- riência do leitor como participante da narrativa e não apenas um usuário ou cliente final do processo.
