BOSS GP SERIES 2017 Season Europe’s fastest FIA Racing Series The Series The abbreviation BOSS stands for Big Open Single Seaters, which means that all race cars from former Formula 1 to GP2, IndyCar, World Series by Renault and other powerful, fast and noisy Formula vehicles are allowed to participate, making BOSS GP the fastest racing series in Europe. BOSS GP is an officially FIA recognised International Racing Series, which consists of the so called ‘OPEN’ Class and the ‘FORMULA’ Class, who crown separate champions at the end of the year. The Cars BOSS GP allows all powerful, fast and noisy Formula cars to enter the championship. This includes former Formula 1 cars (e.g. Toro Rosso STR1, Jaguar R5 F1, Benetton B197), IndyCars (e.g. Panoz DP01), GP2 (Dallara), Superleague Formula (Panoz DP09), AutoGP (Lola B05/52) and many more. In the 2016 championship season, the minimum grid had 22 cars, while the maximum was 30 cars on the Peroni Race Weekend at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza.
