FY 2014 Recreational Grant Awards by County

Adams County-$6,000 County, on behalf of Adams County, will receive $6,000 from the Off- Road Motor Vehicle Fund for a vault toilet at 5-Corners-No Business.

Bannock County-$118,435 Bureau of Land Management will receive $47,878 from the Road & Bridge Fund to install a bridge at Goodenough Creek Campground. Pocatello Cross-Country Ski Foundation will receive $15,500 from the Recreational Trails Program for a for the East Mink Creek Nordic Center. City of Pocatello Parks & Recreation will receive $33,200 from the Recreational Trails Program for trail and bridge work in the City Creek Management Area. Portneuf Greenway Foundation will receive $15,857 from the Recreational Trails Program for parking and trail expansion at Abrazewski Trail. Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $6,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for a bridge at Patterson Creek Trail.

Bear Lake County-$43,661 Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $8,900 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for a bridge at Maple Canyon Trail. Bureau of Land Management will receive $13,461 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund to construct a trailhead parking lot at Loveland Lane Trailhead. Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $21,300 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund to renovate a warming shelter at Horseshoe Basin.

Benewah County-$47,000 Department of Parks and Recreation- will receive $47,000 from the Recreational Trails Program for trailhead facilities and access at Heyburn State Park.

Blaine County-$317,800 Blaine County will receive $20,875 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for boat launch docks at Hot Springs Boat Launch. will receive $31,915 from the Motorbike Fund for tread reconstruction at Castle Rock-Placer Creek. Sawtooth National Forest will receive $36,000 from the Recreational Trails Program for trail maintenance, signs, and trail maps in Valley. Sawtooth National Forest will receive $55,730 from the Recreational Trails Program for trail improvements in Big . Blaine County Recreation District will receive $173,280 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund to repair and replace trail on the Wood River Trail.

Boise County-$114,294 will receive $59,468 from the Road & Bridge Fund to replace the snowmobile bridge at Scriver Creek. Boise National Forest will receive $40,726 from the Motorbike Fund for three trail bridges at Enduro Trail. Idaho Department of Lands will receive $14,100 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for signs, kiosks, and travel maps for the Thorn Creek Management Area.

Bonner County-$243,935 Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation- will receive $100,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for breakwater docks, launch ramp, and parking at Lionhead. Bonner County will receive $21,628 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for two PWCs and a trailer for use in Bonner County. City of Ponderay will receive $75,000 from the Recreational Trails Program for trail land acquisition in the Pend d’Oreille Bay area. Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $47,307 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for trail maintenance of North Zone Trail.

Bonneville County-$156,423 Bonneville County Parks and Recreation will receive $32,030 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for destination docks at Ririe and Palisades Reservoirs. Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $7,075 from the Recreational Trails Program to replace trail on the Morgan Meadows Trail. Bonneville County Parks and Recreation will receive $28,274 from the Recreational Trails Program for a groomer shed, warming hut, and parking lot at Palisades Dam. Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $27,500 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for a bridge at Wilson Springs and Beaver Creek. Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $6,700 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for a bridge on Patterson Creek Trail. Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $2,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for signs for Caribou-Subsection Trail. Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $8,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for tread reconstruction on Red Ridge Trail. Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $38,170 from the Recreational Trails Program to reconstruct and reroute Bussard Mountain Trail. Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $49,625 from the Recreational Trails Program for heavy trail maintenance and to reconstruct Red Top Trail. Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $49,100 from the Recreational Trails Program to reconstruct West Fork Mountain Trail. Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $28,290 from the Recreational Trails Program for trail brushing at Cabinet Mountain. Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $15,300 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for trail brushing on Jeru Snowmobile Trail.

Camas County-$266,700 Sawtooth National Forest will receive $249,000 from the Motorbike Fund, Recreational Trails Program, and Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund to replace Boardman Bridge. Camas County will receive $4,000 from the Recreational Trails Program for bridge crossing, livestock fences, and cattle guards. Sawtooth National Forest will receive $13,700 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for two and a trailer for the Fairfield Ranger District.

Canyon County-$86,046 City of Nampa will receive $86,046 from the Recreational Trails Program to construct Stoddard Trail.

Caribou County-$55,000 Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $15,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund to install a bridge and trailhead improvements at Boundary Trail. City of Bancroft will receive $40,000 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund for a playground at Memorial Park.

Cassia County-$72,244 City of Burley will receive $18,244 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for docks at Bedke Marina. City of Burley will receive $54,000 from the Recreational Trails Program to construct a pathway on Bedke Greenbelt.

Clark County-$11,320 Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $11,320 from the Recreational Trails Program for trail maintenance in the Dubois Ranger District.

Clearwater County-$154,346 Weippe Fraser Recreation District will receive $141,596 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for campground improvements in the Deyo Reservoir Recreation Area. Clearwater County will receive $12,750 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for a warming hut at Pine Marten Camp.

Custer County-$20,000 Salmon-Challis National Forest will receive $20,000 from the Recreational Trails Program to restore Mt. Borah Trail.

Elmore County-$148,900 City of Glenns Ferry will receive $85,056 from the Waterways Improvement Fund to reconstruct a boat ramp and for parking in Glenns Ferry. City of Mountain Home will receive $63,844 from the Recreational Trails Program for trail grading & paving and trailhead parking at Desert Canyon Trail.

Fremont County-$196,500 Fremont County Parks and Recreation will receive $2,500 from the Cutthroat License Plate Fund for a boat ramp and parking lot at Jump Off Canyon. Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation- State Park will receive $150,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for boat launch improvements at . Fremont County Parks and Recreation will receive $10,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for dock replacement at Buttermilk Boat Launch. Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $34,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund to repair the trail at Bear Gulch.

Gem County-$22,680 City of Emmett will receive $22,680 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund to asphalt RV sites at 12th Street Park.

Gooding County-$209,426 City of Wendell will receive $92,100 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund to rehabilitate the RV dump station in Wendell. City of Gooding will receive $92,131 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund for a skate park and BMX trail in Gooding. City of Wendell will receive $25,195 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund to revitalize Wendell City Park.

Idaho County-$71,604 Idaho Department of Fish and Game will receive $71,604 from the Recreational Trails Program to develop a trailhead in City.

Kootenai County-$405,251 Kootenai County Parks and Waterways will receive $235,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for boat launch improvements at Harrison Boat Launch. Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office will receive $17,770 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for a tow/transport vehicle to be used in Kootenai County. Idaho Department of Fish and Game will receive $102,201 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for launch improvements at Rose Lake Boat Launch. Coeur d’Alene Snowmobile Club will receive $21,393 from the Recreational Trails Program for shelter reconstruction at Skitwish Trail. City of Coeur d’Alene Parks Department will receive $28,887 from the Recreational Trails Program to reconstruct East Side Trail at Tubbs Hill.

Latah County-$369,565 City of Genesee will receive $233,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for campground and dump station expansion in Genesee. City of Potlatch will receive $116,469 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for campground renovation at Scenic 6 RV Park. Latah County will receive $20,096 from the Recreational Trails Program to repair Latah Trail.

Lemhi County-$34,500 Bureau of Land Management will receive $34,500 from the Recreational Trails Program for installing 500 signs on various trails near Salmon.

Oneida County-$10,000 Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $10,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for trailhead and trail reconstruction of Trail of the Coeur d’Alene Trailhead.

Payette County-$69,696 City of Payette will receive $69,696 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for breakwater and docks at Centennial Park.

Power County-$100,000 Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation-Massacre Rocks will receive $100,000 for septic system repair at Massacre Rocks.

Shoshone County-$186,543 Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $56,206 from the Road & Bridge Fund to restore Beaver Creek Road. Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $81,108 from the Motorbike Fund for trail restoration on Hammond-Big Creek-Slate Trails. Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $22,500 from the Recreational Trails Program for trail restoration on Larkins Creek Trail. City of Mullan will receive $26,729 from the Recreational Trails Program and Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for a vault toilet at Trail of the Coeur d’Alene Trailhead.

Teton County-$35,993 Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $18,143 from the Recreational Trails Program for bridge construction and to reroute Blacktail Creek Trail. Teton County will receive $17,850 from the Recreational Trails Program for trailhead construction and a parking lot at Smith Canyon Trailhead.

Twin Falls County- $8,000 Twin Falls County will receive $8,000 from the Recreational Trails Program for kayak and canoe launch docks at Centennial Waterfront Park.

Valley County-$495,589 Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation- State Park will receive $50,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for bank stabilization at Sage Bluff and Big Sage. Valley County Sheriff’s Office will receive $12,500 from the Waterways Improvement Fund to refurbish a patrol boat. Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation- will receive $300,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for docks, erosion control, and a launch ramp at Sugarloaf. Valley County Road and Bridge will receive $58,000 from the Road & Bridge Fund for a box culvert at Lemah Creek. Central Idaho Mountain Bike Association (CIMBA) will receive $2,629 from the Recreational Trails Program for a cargo trailer and equipment to be used in Valley County. will receive $8,500 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for a vault toilet at Phoebe Creek. Payette National Forest will receive $40,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund for heavy trail maintenance in the Krassel Ranger District. Valley County will receive $23,960 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund to repair the groomer storage building and add on at West Mountain.

Sawtooth National Forest will receive $42,000 from the Motorbike Fund for heavy trail maintenance, trail rerouting and a crew at Little Skeleton Creek.
