Logan Hunter, 18, from St. Albert, Alberta Logan Schatz, 20, from Allan, Saskatchewan Mr. Speaker, a few days ago Edmonton Oilers coach Todd Stephen Wack, 21, from St. Albert, Alberta McLellan was speaking to the media about visiting Humboldt Parker Tobin, 18, from Stony Plain, Alberta after last Friday’s unimaginably tragic accident. Coach Brody Hinz, 18, from Humboldt, Saskatchewan McLellan reminded the reporters that it wasn’t just young men Darcy Haugan, 42, from Humboldt, Saskatchewan on that bus last Friday. There was a young woman as well. Her Glen Doerksen, 59, from Carrot River, Saskatchewan name was Dayna Brons. Mark Cross, 27, from Strasbourg, Saskatchewan; and Tyler Bieber, 29, from Humboldt, Saskatchewan. Using a qualitative assessment of the events leading up to election day and data from an online vote compass gathered during the campaign period, it argues that the popularity of the incumbent Premier, Brad Wall, was the decisive factor explaining the Saskatchewan Party’s success. Those of you who are from other parts of the country may not know that this theatre was built in 1945, the very same year that the Province of Saskatchewan issued government health-care cards to all pensioners, all women on mother's allowance, and all disabled people in Saskatchewan, entitling them to full medicare coverage including drugs. The competition included performances on piano, violin, flute, percussion and vocals. Up for grabs was a $1,000 scholarship. The winner was soprano Mary Joy Nelson BMus’01. Faite de vermeil, elle mesure 4 pieds de hauteur et pèse environ 18 livres. Ses quatre faces représentent respectivement la couronne royale, les armoiries de la Nouvelle Écosse, le grand sceau actuel de la province (celui conféré avant la Confédération) et la silhouette d’un Président vêtu de ses habits officiels. Sont également gravés sur la masse la fleur de mai, emblème floral de la Nouvelle Écosse, et le chardon écossais. La masse a été fabriquée en Angleterre par Elkington and Company, Limited. M. et Mme Harris souhaitaient que leur don de la masse reste anonyme. Le premier ministre de l’époque a respecté leur désir, mais a demandé que leur legs puisse être reconnu ultérieurement au moyen d’une inscription gravée sur la masse. Par conséquent, dans son testament, le juge en chef a chargé ses exécuteurs de faire graver l’inscription suivante sur la masse et d’assumer les coûts des travaux à même sa succession : « Cette masse fut présentée à la Chambre d’assemblée de la province de la Nouvelle Écosse par l’honorable Robert E. Harris, juge en chef de la Nouvelle Écosse, et par Mme Harris, en mars 1930.

    SaSkatcheWan EleCtIonS: A History DecemBer 13th, 1905 The Liberal Party formed Saskatchewan’s first elected government. The Liberals were led by Walter Scott, an MP representing the area of Saskatchewan in Wilfred Laurier’s federal government. Frederick Haultain, the former premier of the Northwest Territories, led the Provincial Rights Party. Haultain was linked to the Conservative Party and had advocated for Alberta and Saskatchewan to be one province named Buffalo. He begrudged Laurier for creating two provinces, and fought Saskatchewan’s first election by opposing federal interference in provincial areas of jurisdiction. RESultS: Party Leader Candidates elected Popular vote Liberal Walter Scott 25 16 52.25% Provincial Rights Frederick Haultain 24 9 47.47% Independent 1 - 0.28% Total Seats 25 AuguST 14th, 1908 The number of MLAs expanded to 41, reflecting the rapidly growing population. The Liberals ran 40 candidates in 41 constituencies: William Turgeon ran in both Prince Albert City and Duck Lake. He won Duck Lake but lost Prince Albert. At the time it was common for candidates to run in multiple constituencies to help ensure their election. If the candidate won in two or more constituencies, they would resign from all but one. By-elections would then be held to find representatives for the vacated constituencies. This practice is no longer allowed. RESultS: Party Leader Candidates elected Popular vote Liberal Walter Scott 41 27 50.79% Provincial Rights Frederick Haultain 40 14 47.88% Independent-Liberal 1 - 0.67% Independent 2 - 0.66% Total Seats 41 July 11th, 1912 The Provincial Rights Party morphed into the Conservative Party of Saskatchewan, and continued to campaign for expanding provincial jurisdiction.
