The contract entails the construction of the following components: • Earthworks for Evaporation Ponds • Lining of Ponds • Construction of Inlet and Outlet Structures • Supply and Installation of Security Fencing It is estimated that tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 4 CE or higher. A non-refundable tender deposit of R500.00 per document is payable through EFT into the bank account of Kamiesberg Municipality: First National Bank, Cheque Account, Account No: 62022501440, Branch Code: 200306. Tenders will be sent to interested parties via email upon receival of proof of payment. Tender documents will be available from Wednesday, 17 June 2020. A compulsory site visit/clarification meeting with representatives of the Employer/Engineer will take place at the Community Hall in Kamieskroon on Wednesday 24 June 2020 starting at 11h00. All interested parties must notify Mr. Heinrich Cloete via email ([email protected]) before Wednesday, 17 June 2020 in order to arrange a travel permit, if needed, for attending the clarification meeting and to receive a tender document. Tender documents must be submitted via email, but must be appropriately marked with the contract number and name of the project in the subject line to [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected] on or before Friday, 10 July 2020 at 12h00. All documents must be encrypted with passwords and should the submission exceed 25MB, documents may be shared via Google Drive or WeTransfer or any other similar platforms. The link of these platforms will be the body of the email submitting bidder’s documents and passwords included thereon. Bidders must ensure that the links provided in the submission have the contents in terms of the list of returnable contemplated in the tender documents. Failure to adhere to the latter will result in bidder’s tender document being deemed non-responsive. The Municipality reserves the right not to award the tender to the only or the lowest Tenderer. Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that has been issued. No tender offer will be considered from the following tenderers: a) If the Tenderers do not comply to the CIDB-Grading Conditions b) Persons who were convicted for fraud or corruption during the past five years. c) Who wilfully neglected, reneged on or failed to comply with a goverment contract during the past five years. d) Tenderer who cannot submit a valid Tax Clearance Certificate. e) Tenderer who is not registered or accredited as a Contractor or a contractor according to the Central Contractor Database (CSD). f) If proof cannot be provided that a performance guarantee can be submitted on the award of the contract. The Tender Data shall have precedence in the interpretation of any ambiguity or inconsistency between it and the standard conditions of tender.
